That happened 233 years ago, seems like only yesterday ...

I believe Russell was still teaching, and Dub was busking in Chicago.

Vive la liberte. Bonjour.
It's cloudy out. I have my usual Thursday morning schedule with an errand I have to work in somewhere. It's should all be pleasant.
Be of good cheer.

Queen stage of Le Tour today in the French alps. Col du Galibier, Croix de Fer, and finishing at the top of Alp d’Huez. I’ll be glued to the telly.

I'll have to take this for a spin today. Perhaps for lunch! Don't break it, you can't get parts.

It was 70 degrees out this morning as I drove up to my cabin, beautiful!
I brought up my repaired gas tank and I'll give it a good test shortly. Once I know everything works I'll take the boat trailer back home where it can rest until fall.
Edit: the boat performed flawlessly with the repaired gas tank. It's amazing that something as simple as a a gas pickup tube can determine the go/no go status of a boat.

Good morning
65F-85F Partly sunny later.
I actually fell asleep while writing this. Must not have slept well last night. Todd texted me and woke me up, good thing as I have "stuff" to do before nap time.

Hot. (What else is new?) Successfully got the emissions test done on the pickup yesterday and completed the license renewal on line. Did today's walk mostly on the trail along a wash. Some water running in the washes. Obviously there has been more rain upstream than the few drops we got yesterday and the minimal amount we got the day before. Laundry is done. We'll make a run to Fry's (Kroger) for gas, prescriptions, and a few food items. Out to dinner this evening at a Mexican restaurant where we've never eaten. But we did drop in last week after our Chinese lunch in the same strip mall. Saw the menu and smelled the cooking.

I voted by mail today in our primary election. I thought I was prepared until I discovered that the recent redistricting had put us in a different and completely refigured U.S. congressional district. I'd never heard of the two candidates so I had to stop and do some research.
The mail ballot comes with the little "I Voted Today" sticker. I can wear it proudly around the house all afternoon.
