Good song. Sounds great too. Good singin’ and pickin’.
What is the make and model of your guitar?

Thanks Dub. The guitar is a Larrivee OM-3 with an Italian spruce top.

Sounds great, Ken. The sound is pretty good, and the levels between voice and guitar are great. Did you do that on a single mic?

Very nice, Ken. Post the lyrics. Your enunciation is quite good, but I missed some words.
Your open phrase is good too. It puts us in a place. Sets the stage.
The musical structure is also very good. Nice rising chorus.

Nice work, Ken!
That's a really great-sounding guitar. A couple of Larrivees have passed through my hands over years, and I regret letting them go.

Here are the lyrics,
Road Rage Mystic
I was driving to work, just the other day,
Down good ol’ US hiway 19,
When suddenly between a couple of the strip joints,
I realized what life really means.
I was stuck behind an 88 Mercury Marquee,
Doing 20 miles below the posted speed,
While kids in their tricked up Honda Accords,
Played some gansta rap music for me.
Cut off by a Humvee my blood began to boil,
I felt like I was going insane,
Then I saw the sign that changed everything,
It said “roadwork ahead form one lane”.
Oh I cursed and I moaned, for my sorry fate,
I was ramping up towards going ballistic,
Then I realized just how silly it all was,
And I turned into a road rage mystic.
Chorus: Ain’t it wonderful, just to be alive,
To be conscious, today.
I don’t know, what it’s all about,
I’m just thankful to be in the play.
Ain’t it wonderful, just to be alive,
To be stuck in this traffic jam.
It doesn’t matter where you are,
You can always touch God’s hand.
So I turned off the road, and I headed for the Gulf,
Went to Bayport, caught some sun and watched the tides.
If I lose that job, oh well that’s the way it goes,
At least I won’t be making that goddamn drive.
Chorus: Ain’t it wonderful, just to be alive,
To be conscious, today.
I don’t know, what it’s all about,
I’m just thankful to be in the play.
Ain’t it wonderful, just to be alive,
To be stuck in this traffic jam.
It doesn’t matter where you are,
You can always touch God’s hand.
Ain't it wonderful...........
