good morning. Cool morning today in Florida, mid 70's. Taking my lab Abbie to the vet later this morning. She's got a growth on her muzzle. Probably no big deal but it's good to know. Have good ones.

A few drops of rain to start the day. In a hour or so I'll fire up the Sportster and go for a ride. Gotta go to Center Point, so I'll go there and then take the scenic route home.
I had a small cherry tree snap off in the wind a few days ago, need to go and get it totally removed, later.

Good morning. Yesterday our hiking plans were rained out. It rained much of the day, which is unusual up here. This morning we will be going to the local botanical garden where we can get shelter easily if it starts raining. No complaints about the rain. We are still having a great time. Enjoy your day.

Another hot one for us today, 95F with 74% humidity. There is an air quality warning due to elevated ozone levels. In an article By Todd Milbourn (OPB) July 26, 2022 11:11 a.m. Updated: July 26, 2022 2:30 p.m.:
According to DEQ, ozone forms when hot temperatures interact with exhaust from cars, gas-powered engines and chemicals in paints and aerosols. These pollutants then react with sunlight and heat to produce ozone and haze. The situation gets worse when there’s little wind to blow the pollutants away. Because ozone pollution increases with exposure to sunlight, pollution levels tend to be higher during late afternoons and early evenings.
Fortunately, I will be in an air-conditioned office for much of the day, then return to a partially air-conditioned house.

Not much to report here. Clinic goes on. Students are starting to trickle back to campus in anticipation of the start of the Fall semester. At the moment, it is mostly girls getting ready for sorority rush, and a few members of the marching band. The rest will pour in a couple of weeks from now.
Summer sure didn't last very long.

Target has their "Back to School" promotions up. I bought some Crayolas and paste. Got a great price, inflation be damned!

Fixing a Gibson headstock today. It’s a beautiful day so once it is done I may close shop for the day.
Put in a push button electronic lock for the shop so I can more easily keep it locked at all times when I am not in it. It’s a Kwikset Aura and it went in seamlessly and was easily programmed with an app for the phone.
I’d recommend it at this point. We’ll see how it handles winter.

Took a break from the Mossman today and worked on a PRS. Got the electronics rewired as per request and after a short sit down will do the setup.
It had a push/pull switch on the tone control as a coil tap wired to not only tap the humbuckers but put those coils in series out of phase if both pickups are on (hum canceling). Took me a while to figure out what was going on. If they'd just asked me I could have told them how to do that in a much easier way. But my way is not as bright sounding, more like a P-90, but still hum canceling.

I work today I shouldn’t have doing anything but I have to do it anyway
I had the raspy throat. I had the flu19. I wrote the Covid-19 test. I think what happened - two people wanted to talk to me and they were really close. Unfortunately these people has dementia. People not understand things. Now I have some medicine Paxlovid. I hope I figure out the old Covid-19 Possibly also is my pollen problem also.
I did two times with the tests - I have the Covid-19 I know it’s going to be a just a tiny message with the flu but it is pretty difficult. I don’t think I’m going to go to the hospital I hope just get some medical and relax.
I’m going to relax right now for five days.

I had just delivered a package to the porch and was returning to my truck when I heard a young voice (sounded to be 5 or 6 years old) holler through the screen door,
"WAIT, Mister, take my mom with you!"
