Saw this movie Saturday and was enthralled. Planning to see it again as there was so much to absorb. Recommend it highly if you enjoy the unusual.

"Recommend it highly if you enjoy the unusual."
There's so much unusual movies/documentaries/etc/etc
Many people that it's seen it - in the theatre
I will wait - on DVD - in the public library
A few critics "Absolutely helpless movie with no charisma and no idea, except for promoting doubtful turkish historical and contemporary highlights. What a failure for Tilda Suinton to play in this soap opera/anti western propaganda piece. Weak direction with no breakthrough neither in storyline nor in details (half of which didn't make sense at all, why were they even necessary). As a result ruined evening with negative aftertaste and wasted time. I wish I didn't see it at all." 1 star
"This was a mixed bag to me, the acting was good, but the movie moved at a slow pace and the supporting cast was not that strong. The interaction between the leads was nice, but not much energy to the film. Not quite clear on the ending as well. I would not see again, but I am not sorry I went to see it. It was OK but I was hoping for a bit more." 3 stars
"Beautiful! For those who love being immersed in worlds of image and sound and word, it’s a trip back to childhood days of fantasy, wonder and storytelling." 5 stars
Repetitive - I will wait the DVD - in public library

Well… I liked it. A lot. Tilda Swinton played her roll perfectly. A mousy timid woman who stood up to this intimidating, overwhelming black genie or’Djinn’ as they named him without being intimidated in the least. Her occupation as a story creator prepared her perfectly for getting along with this mythical, powerful being that exudes masculine power without giving an inch. Great stuff for a tale that she could have woven of thin air. I admired her greatly by the end of the tale.
