I have to clean up the pontoon today before storing it for the winter. I was delivering mail up on Chapman Lake today and I passed a truck with a sign on the side saying "Shrink Wrap". Then I noticed a couple of guys pulling a blue plastic covering over a pontoon boat. That was on the way up the lane, by the time I made my way back from delivering down the lane, I passed the guys again. This time one of them was holding a propane flame thrower and aiming it at the blue plastic. Interested, I drove slowly as I witnessed the heat shrink the plastic tightly over the pontoon boat. Good for winter.

I had an upholstery guy make a cover for her and I now just take it to a dealer that stores it and winterizes the motor. I used to keep in the yard and take off the engine but I can’t do that anymore. You would like it Bill, it’s a Kennedy made in Centuria WI. I think I mentioned earlier that she is 45 years old. Maybe I’ll treat Her to a shrink wrap for her 50th birthday.

Yep. I should mention she had a makeover about 15 years ago. New carpet, and seats, An old guy in New York Mills that used to work at Larson Boats did it. He did a great job.
When I went to his shop there was a table with a couple of dead raccoons on it. “I pick em up off the road” he said, “Do a little taxidermy on the side”.

That's a great pontoon, Terry. My wife Kim used to love those. Living in Iowa afar from any sizable body of water meant we never purchased one, but we did rent a few times a year. I can guess your grandkids look forward to time on that every year.

Just perfect for toodling around the lake on a warm summer's evening.

I got a good amount of work done today, hope that doesn't put a hex on it. If this keeps up I just might be able to earn a living again doing guitar repair.
