45 degrees, heading up to 66 and then down to 37 tonight.
Candy Corn is everywhere. Do you like it or hate it? I guess it’s a Halloween/Fall thing.
Enjoy the day and shock your system with a handful of candy corn today.

I like candy corn. In years past I have usually grabbed a bag to munch on through the season. I highly recommend adding/mixing in some peanuts to the bag, and eating sparingly.

If I ran the country, Halloween would be this weekend; Pre-Halloween on Friday, Halloween Eve on Saturday, and Halloween Day on Sunday. Weather the first weekend of October is perfect for pumpkins and trick and treating. Weather the last weekend of October is nearly always really crappy for man and ghoul alike.
I could move as far as the second weekend if pushed and bribed, but no further.

Candy corn alone, no. Mixed half and half with peanuts, yes. Almost a Payday bar.

Good Morning
Clear and chilly. cold rain predicted later in the week.
Grocery shopping and domestic chores before returning to the backyard and setting joists for the shed. The foundation is as level and square as it's ever gonna be.
Have a tolerable Monday. Candy corn is to be avoided. Too damn sweet.

Good morning. It'll be a bit warmer than normal but not bad. A friend will be coming over for coffee this morning. Dinner guests will be coming over later.
Enjoy your day.

Sweet corn, yes. Candy corn, no. AMEN!!! While out shopping yesterday we noticed the MASS QUANTITIES of candy. Covering the Christmas candy behind it. I've always considered Christmas merchandise offered before Halloween in poor taste but our consumer culture doesn't seem to mind.

Good morning.
56F-76F partly cloudy.
House chores and shop time while waiting for the pharmacy to call. I've been out of one med for almost a week due to being on order at the pharmacy. The problem is it's one of those meds that take getting used too when you first take it and you get withdrawal sickness if you don't, been feeling it for days. It's not horrid but not great either.
Watched Hocus Pocus II with DaWife last night. Enjoyable but nothing great. Bette Midler did not sing much, if at all, because that vocal was not the commanding voice of the great Mz Midler. This time around getting rid of the witches was rather sad but they did keep all the minor cast, Raven, Cat, Book and Billy the dead guy got dug up again, they needed his head. I'll give it a 3 out of 5.

In preparation for my annual physical next week, i went to Vinton this morning and had some blood drawn. It's quick and easy at the hospital.
Then, since I hadn't eaten for 14 hours, I made my way to the Family Restaurant for breakfast.
A quick stop at Fareway and I'm now back home. I should do laundry sometime today.

good morning. I'm heading out for the dentist shortly. Broke a tooth off last Wednesday as the hurricane blew in and today is the first day they've been open. I am currently having a partial denture made and the tooth that broke off is going to alter that. This is the biggest inconvenience I've experienced from Ian. I can't wrap my mind around what happened down south. Been out of sorts for the last few days. Have good ones.

I mentioned the other day that I ordered some electronic supplies, jacks, pots, caps and a new solder sucker. At which time a made the joke of the solder sucker is not what you think. Well that package came today and at first glance I figered they must have been out of smaller boxes so they used a larger one, nope. New solder sucker is over twice as big as my old compact one. This thing could damn near be a sex toy. 13" long and an inch wide colored in primary blue with primary yellow buttons.
A bit big for small electronic work but I'll give it a try as the thing that wears out/breaks this tool is its own recoil. Push down the spring tension plunger and when you release it by pushing a button the plunger inside quickly retracks causing a sudden vacuum thus pulling in the hot solder through the tip. While the new one seems to have a good vacuum it has a lot less recoil.
And it was dead cheap.
Like me.

Candy corn was great when I was 7, but too sweet now, and would just push me further into fatdom, without adequate taste bud enjoyment.

Great potluck dinner at my son's in-laws last night. My smoked brisket was popular, but the quinoa salad and green salad were great too. And my daughter-in-law made a wonderful cheesecake.
I made a purchase that is making my wife consider divorce: a plain old two-slot toaster. It now sits beside her deluxe toaster oven. That toaster oven reads bar codes on pre-prepared meals that arrive in the mail (sorry John). It then cooks them at the perfect temperature for the perfect amount of time. It also has a water reservoir that adds moisture to toast and other foods. I cannot abide waiting 8 minutes for a piece of toast and the idea of packaging and shipping these little dinners strikes me as wasteful.
Hopefully, she will soon see the light, or perhaps we will need to get into counseling.

My wife recently bought a toaster oven. She got rid of the old two slotter. I agree, you wait forever for your toast and it's not as evenly toasted.
I liked the old one but it's better I keep my mouth shut.
