I saw this in Palo Iowa today. They are referring to lp tanks that people trade in for their gas grills.

Wow. In some places more trendy than Iowa, rusty, dented, scratched tanks with missing paint are considered cool. As a matter of fact, there are guys who take brand new tanks and artificially age, or relic, them. While truly old, worn tanks are what bring the big bucks(guys spend thousands on an original pre-war tank), reliced tanks are becoming more popular with tankists on a budget. I have a 1956 FlameKing I wouldn’t part with and I am looking for a 1947 BlueRhino. I guess Iowans just don’t know cool.

I thought you were going to link to a Russian Craig’s List ad.

I thought you were going to link to a Russian Craig’s List ad. No, but I do happen to have a few vintage tanks I would be willing to sell to interested parties. Cash sales only, of course, but I will include appraisal papers in case you want to insure them.

All the ones around my area have date stamps on them, and no supplier will refill them if they are past a certain age.
