I've never heard a podcast and wouldn't know where to look for one.

I've never heard a podcast and wouldn't know where to look for one. But the pod people know where to look for you.

Thanks - the BBC has a ton of postcasts that look interesting. I picked up the others as well.

Songcraft: Spotlight on Songwriters
Two interviewers that know the craft and do their homework, never once giving the impression that they're coasting. They are on hiatus until 2023 but have 200 interviews in the bank. Hard to pick a favorite, maybe start with Paul Thorn or Roger McGuinn.

I go to a lot of podcasts - listen and play PIANO (solo/duo classical and solo/duo jazz) Chopin, Satie, Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Withers, Jarrett, Oscar O, Dana Cunningham etc, etc

....prefer reading to listening.... Me too. I'd much rather read. But there are times when I'd like to read but can't because my hands are full. Like doing dishes or folding laundry or cutting up an onion. And it's those times that are great for listening to something because my brain wants to be occupied. And those are the times when a podcast is really appreciated.

I may have to check this one out. I’ve just started reading Before The Big Bang by Laura Mersini-Haughton.

Good luck with the book! I have had a temporary and tenuous grasp of bits of theoretical physics and cosmology and stuff a few times. Whilst I enjoy a short-lived sense/simulacrum of understanding, it seems the little grey cells need prodding and stirring up from time to time to restore a bit of that feeling. Jim Al-Khalili seems to help me as much as anyone towards that end.
ETA - I see that the author of yer book has recently done a Royal Institution talk. I'll have a watch some time this weekend.

I’ve always been interested in science and especially physics. I remember in my teens wanting to become a nuclear physicist. I got re-interested when I read Gary Zukav’s 1979 book, The Dancing Wu Li Masters. Since then I’ve read other popular authors such as Michio Kaku.

Does anyone here listen to podcasts and have any they recommend? Now that I have a commute and I’m taking more walks, I need some aural distractions. I’m not really interested in true crime or politics (which apparently make up 90% of podcasts), but other than that I’m open to ideas. I think I may have subscribed to a few but I don’t listen to them. I mostly don’t care to hear opinions and generally prefer reading to listening. I don’t relish the thought of being influencerized. Heh.
