I've long been a fan of this songwriter. Here's a more than just adequate cover.

That’s great! My buddy Dave Stoddard wrote a good winter song too. It’s one of my favorites of many great ones he has written.

Here's my one Wintery song. I played it out last night at an open mic for the first time since last January. A friend, Sue Thomson, did the video stuff.

John, I'm not familiar with Susan Werner. I'll have to investigate.
Here is one of my favorite winter songs:

John, I'm not familiar with Susan Werner. I'll have to investigate. Though the songs I first heard were more "folk" and guitar/vocal songs, this is so far my favorite of hers. Here's another favorite (as I said -- guitar/vocal)

I've long been a fan of this songwriter. Here's a more than just adequate cover. What a voice ! I like her intro. It’s the opening solo violin part for Vivaldi’s Winter from his four seasons.

My Winter classical music www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRxofEmo3HA(oops ) Vivaldi's Spring
L'Inverno (Winter) Opus 8, No. 4, in F minor I. Allegro non molto-- Frozen and trembling in the icy snow, In the severe blast of the horrible wind, As we run, we constantly stamp our feet, And our teeth chatter in the cold. II. Largo-- To spend happy and quiet days near the fire, While, outside, the rain soaks hundreds. III. Allegro-- We walk on the ice with slow steps, And tread carefully, for fear of falling. Symphony, If we go quickly, we slip and fall to the ground. Again we run on the ice, Until it cracks and opens. We hear, from closed doors, Sirocco, Boreas, and all the winds in battle. This is winter, but it brings joy.

It’s the opening solo violin part for Vivaldi’s Winter from his four seasons. Nice catch! I didn't notice that. Specifically opening of the third movement. (at 6:58 mark). I originally thought in first movement, but something was not right. Then I remembered it was the opening of the third movement. It’s been a while since i listened to it.

My boys just sleeping the Winter away. Simon top shelf, Riley lower shelf. Perspective makes Riley look bigger but Simon is the big guy.

It would make sense that it was winter, not spring. That’s an amazing version.

I think the Bangles version of "Hazy Shade of Winter" is my favorite, then Simon & Garfunkel. Ms. Werner has a great voice, but at some points in it, she seems to be showcasing her voice instead of singing the song.
