Good morning. I suspect most of us are heavier than we were yesterday morning. I had a very pleasant Thanksgiving with family and food. My wife and a friend of hers were off early to the mall today, more out of habit than any real enthusiasm. Later this morning I'll take my aunt to the airport for her flight home. That's about it.
Enjoy your day.

Up and awake. We're down in the hills between Nashville and Chattanooga and loving life. Gibson the Wonder Dog came with us, and his sniffer has been in overdrive.

Good morning. Hoping everyone can recover from yesterday's meal if recovery is in order. My daughter's pumpkin spice cake w/ginger butter creme was fantastic.
A good day to all.

Younger daughter wants to see England and the US play, knowing that the US may well get stomped. Those guys still have a grudge about our revolution.

You know, it always amazes me what people will eat from a hotel “free” breakfast buffet.
Nothing looked very palatable. I’ll stick to yogurt.
last night was carry out “take out for you New Yorkers” thanksgiving from the Cracker Barrel down the road. Traditional Turkey with dressing, gravy, green beans, pecan praline sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, a couple of rolls, and a piece of pumpkin pie. Sue had the chicken and dumplings, carrots, green beans, cranberry sauce, and a couple of rolls. Overall, it felt very thanksgiving-ish.

Great Thanksgiving dinner and I didn't overdo it too badly. Will try again today.
Looking ahead, I realized that my choir sings at the 9:00 PM Christmas Eve service, then again at the only service on Sunday morning, 12/25. We are mostly old people who need our sleep and take some time to get going in the morning. I predict that a number of singers will be absent. The next time that Christmas falls on a Sunday is in 2033. I doubt that I'll still be in the choir by then.
So Mr. H and I are discussing moving our traditional Christmas Eve snacks and wine to the night of Christmas and moving our traditional Christmas dinner to Boxing Day.
Sorry. Is it too soon to talk about Christmas?

Good morning.
27F-46F sunny.
Lousy nights sleep, and I have things I MUST do this morning.
The four of us had a very good traditional Thanksgiving dinner cooked at home. Twerky and all the fixin's. Now I remember why we always get takeout from HiVee, the clean up, yee gods! Not sure if I want breakfast.

Morning.
Thanksgiving dinner turned out pretty darn ok, despite some very surprised guests near the end. It was an economical, and ecological, success!
(and I got lots and lots and lots of leftovers)

I’m having mashed potatoes and gravy for breakfast this morning. The gravy that my sister served yesterday was, as usual, tasty and of perfect consistency. She uses Heinz gravy, sold in a jar. I think the potatoes were real.

Yes, it did. And there's leftover, even after a slice for our night doorman and this morning doorman, as well as two for my in-laws, whom the girls are visiting right now.
The ginger in the butter creme is a wonderful touch, flavor-wise. Balances some of the sweetness with a hint of heat.

We had THREE PIES! a cherry blueberry, pecan, and, well, cheesecake like pie. They topped off a wonderfully delicious and traditional meal.
This morning I might have learned one reason why my two month old Squire Strat was much cheaper than its Fender cousins: The five way switch has a short on the neck pickup. Aside from making static noise, it will sometimes switch off completely. There is a two year warranty, but I suspect it is just a poor quality switch that might need to be upgraded.

If you can solder there are good switches and instructions all over the web.. Pretty easy fix.
