(On edit: my wife has the dog hooked up for her morning walk, and during

Good morning. It's just getting light. It's overcast, so the overnight low wasn't very low.
There'll be lunch with an old friend at a Vietnamese place. She's still one of my law partners. We first worked together about thirty years ago.
Not much else to report. After my first guess at Wordle I could only find two possible words. I guessed the wrong one first. Hope that wasn't an omen.

Morning, RpThe cold I’m fighting is proving stubborn. This is the first time I’ve been sick in the past few years. There is something to be said for isolation and masking, anyway, heading back to the desert today, need to pack up and head north next week. Hoping the passes will be clear and I won’t have to drive up the coast to avoid them. Meanwhile, the forcast for N San Diego beach areas is overcast, mid 69s.
Off to do Wordle.

Good morning.
16F-38F mostly cloudy
INR later this morning and a quick trip to Cub for milk.
Then either shop time or looking for more stuff to photo and list on Reverb. Getting used to doing it now and getting photos from my phone to the Reverb folder on the computer. My phone is still the best camera I have. My Kodak has a SD Card and a USB port but still having trouble transferring the images. On my phone I can edit the image and transfer it ready to go.
108 Days until Spring.

On most days, I'd be very satisfied with a three. But when the Wordle gods give me three-fifths of the answer at the outset, with a good chance of a two, my definition of success gets ratcheted up. Funny how we are in that regard. |

The forecast here is for 50 degree temperature this afternoon, with 17 mph wind from the south. So, I need to get out and get some exercise and I don't know that I've ever done a December bike ride. Sounds to me like the perfect opportunity. I'll definitely dress a little warmer, but it should be fun.
Big winds and cold arrives tonight.

My neighbor invited me to play music with him and his bandmate last night. It is an ego boost for a solo, bedroom player like me to make music with guys who get paid to play. I think we sounded pretty good.
I took my wife's new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, for a test drive last night. Quick, agile, and comfortable. It will take a year or more to learn most of the bells and whistles. I already like the ability to use the onscreen camera to get 360-degree view of the car.

Shoe covers were important. Your feet get cold fast. I also think that breathing that cold wind in your face lowers your upper respiratory tract’s resistance. Some sort of face protection is a good idea. I finally quit winter riding because I’d get more frequent colds. For some reason XC skiing didn’t seem to be a problem. |
