Good morning. Yesterday it stayed in the 50s and rained. This morning it's in the 50s and raining. No complaints.
My mystery bug caused me to sleep for over ten hours. I guess that's good. Yesterday I felt awful. Today I just feel bad.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
9F-31F sunny.
Now it's Sunday and I can say usual Sunday stuff. We will do breakfast and grocery shopping and then DaWife will go of with the girls to do more shopping or whatever it is they are doing. I get to stay home and do whatever I want.

Coffee then choir. I getting to be just like Hobson. (except I don't suppose Hobson has her morning coffee with a stocking cap and mittens on)

Still got the cold. Maybe a tiny bit better than it’s been. Cleaning and packing today, leaving tomorrow after they pick up the trash. Heading for Harris Ranch, and from there we will find out if we go up 5 over the passes or have to take the coast route. I don’t have chains for the truck, so snowy conditions are a no go. I think will be ok for 5 but we will see.

It’s 23 degrees out there, but at least the 40mph winds have calmed down.
Coffee & breakfast await.

There was a pretty large fire last night/this morning downtown. Luckily only minor injuries. The buildings were commercial buildings, and the cat that lived in one of the businesses escaped. Freezing temperatures and lots of damage to some old historic buildings.

A bright, sunny, calm, cold morning. I'll be heading to the Mercantile in Garrison this afternoon for their annual Christmas music show. Castle Ridge will be performing along with other acts.

We played for an unusual event at the New London Theater yesterday. Ran from 11 AM to 1PM.
A combination of a Christmas cookie exchange, cookie competition, Santa visits, and seasonal boutique cocktails at the Art Deco theater bar.
There was a demo on stage on how to make Hot Christmas Dickens Firewater Punch while Santa stepped down from his throne to repair to the bar.
Only downside was we had to wear Santa elf caps while we played. There were a bunch of really cute little kids that didn’t seem the least scandalized.

Woke up to the realization that the whole house humidifier was not doing its job. Checked the valve, nothing coming out. Shopped on line to find out that Honeywell wanted 80 freaking dollars for a replacement (the whole unit was only $120 when I bought it 11 years ago). Thank goodness for lots of tools from having my own personal Menards / Lowes / Home Depot / Luthier / Electronics / Clock Repair shop in the basement. Disassembled the unit and found that the filter (which was clean) had let something by to clog the orifice of the metering valve. Turns out a watch broach was just the right size to clean but not alter the orifice. Back together and should be moist in the house again. Speaking of which, I need to fill the humidifier in the guitar storage area.
For those of you with more guitars than brains (like me) i caught these a few years ago on a black Friday deal off Amazon. They were only $11.99 with prime shipping. They had them again this year but I forgot to mention it (sorry but even at $2 a piece instead of $1 they are a good deal). They are in every guitar case, one in the basement vault, and other locations (like the wood storage for instrument wood) and run off two button cells for quite some time. Are they perfect? No, but they are close enough to make sure your stuff is staying close enough to correctly humidified.

Eric and I had our usual recording session today. We never liked what we came up with last week so we tried again today. Success. Here's our version of Sleepy John Estes tune Drop Down Mama.

I hope they gave the Band free drinks for the embarrassment.

Did my daily Reverb entry. Trying to do one every day. Sold the Waverly tuners within hours of listing them.
