Couldn't sleep so I decided I'd just get up.
Got my spit sample all ready to mail to 23andMe, so I'll soon know where I came from.
Errands in Cedar Rapids today.

Watched “The Outfit” last night at Millring’s recommendation. It’s on Amazon Prime. It was great!
I thought maybe it was adapted from a play as the entire film takes place in a men’s tailor shop. Just good acting and a good story. A breath of fresh air these days.

Good Monday Morning
Sunny and chilly. Up early to hang out with twins whilst their Daddy took their big sister to preschool. Additional coffee, now I'm headed out to put roofing felt on the shed, after some creative trim work to hide misaligned rafters.

That's beautiful work, Bill. Thanks for sharing it. And here's one by a Strib photographer: A warm summer evening brought storm clouds over the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis and a rain delay for the Twins at nearby Target Field. Alex Kormann, Star Tribune

Good morning 14F-28F cloudy. Early trip to the Post Office and Cub Foods. My neighbors are down with covid so I'm going to pick them up a few things and leave them on their deck. I spent last night getting stuff ready to post on Reverb instead of watching tv. It's amazing what old Waverly tuners go for. These are not the StewMac ones. These are the original Waverly Music Co tuners and sets can go for $300 if they are old enough, like the 1930s-40s, I have two sets. I also have quite a few sets from the 50s and 60s. They were used on Harmony guitars. They were cheap junk tuners which is why low end guitars used them, Martin used Grover Sta-Tite that were only somewhat better. I listed some more Gotoh 510 in gold and a 70s set of Schaller M6 in gold, these are the tuners that set the standard for enclosed tuners. Why do I have so many sets of gold tuners? 105 Days Until Spring.

We watched "The Outfit" over the weekend, as well. Grateful for the recommendation.
Mark Rylance is a wonderful talent; the entire cast was great. The movie really reminded me of one of those West End "closed room" murder mystery plays; single set mystery with multiple twists and turns, like "The Mousetrap", by Agatha Christie.
"The Outfit" was a stage play put on film. (and I expect it will be done on a stage)

Well I just wake up at 8 am Actually I've been done some errands.
Somebody just wrote in my car windshield .....I live in seventy senior souls and they’re “normal people” but they’re very oddities, dementia, bi-polar, OCD, cliques, tattle-tales. The tenants send me these little memos not correct. They put this little memos on my windshield - “vehicle parked in handicap space. Not more than 1 hour. If violated, vehicle will be towed away or be given $250 ticket. Please move your vehicle”…. I went to a website and it says you can do this unlimited amount of time with Disabled Parking Permit
I had breakfast and lunch already - a smoothie and two chicken thighs
I had my Word Jumbled - not The Wordle - and the Crossword Puzzle And read the Rooney Report and the SF newspaper
Enjoyed your days......?

Just checked into the Harris Ranch Inn. Left the desert at 11 this morning. This cold is kicking my butt. But we can rest now, and get a decent steak dinner in a bit. Tomorrow, if the passes look OK, we will continue up I5. If they look sketchy, we will head to the coast around Santa Rosa, and go N from there.
