Breakfast, anyone? Time for coffee, too.
Wishing everyone a fortified morning and pleasant day. Stay warm!

I'm getting ready to go in to work. -3 out there with -35 wind chill. But the Jeep started. We're all hoping they won't send us out on routes today.

Just to be clear: I disliked the above post because of these severe temperatures and you have to go in to work, ostensibly outdoors. That sucks.

-10 here but it’s going up to -4. Winds are fiercely blowing at about 15mph but soon they will top 30-35 mph. The Hawk is howling. All this translates to staying inside and wearing 12-15 layers of flannel, fleece, and goose down. Stay warm.
BTW, the WGN Weather Gnome said next week it will be 50 degrees. It makes a person giddy to contemplate.

Brrrrrr. -10 with a 20 mph wind. It's not snowing but the wind is blowing the snow that has fallen.
Daught left for work about an hour ago.SIL is getting geared up to go out and battle the snow with the snowblower.
I'll venture out, maybe around noon, to start the truck, and let it warm up.

Six degrees, above zero because of the presence of Lake Michigan. Very snowy because of the presence of Lake Michigan. Steeling myself to bundle up and go out for the first of many sessions of snowblowing. I'll stay warm with many layers of fleece under coveralls, but no matter which way the wind is blowing or what direction the chute is pointing, my face will be blasted with snow.
A note on snowblower maintenance - check the skids and scraper bar frequently. After only five seasons and several adjustments of the skids, the skids are worn out and the scraper bar is worn out with one end broken. I have ordered a new scraper bar from a company in Florida.
Venturing out around noon for a minor medical procedure for Dawn, making meticulous plans for a 3-mile drive on city streets. Other than that, we are staying in until Sunday morning.
Have a merry Christmas Eve Eve.

Good morning. The weather many of you are having sounds awful. Also potentially dangerous. The computer says it's 43 here which probably means about 35 in our backyard.
I'm still having almost no discomfort and very little swelling from yesterday's dental surgery. That's a pleasant surprise.
I have a few errands to run and things to do but nothing interesting. Have as good a day as circumstances permit.
An odd Wordle today. One letter was in such an unlikely place that after two guesses only one word worked. Wordle 552 3/6*

Good morning.
-10F - 0F windy, meaning wind chill factor up the wazoo.
I will have to go out and start my truck and let it run for a while. Other than that I ain't going nowhere except down to my shop.
Granddaughter Ayana flies in today, her flight was not canceled so we all get to have Christmas together this year. DaWife has next week off so she and the girls get to do things.
Getting my meds arranged as to what I can take and what I can't up to my Tuesday procedure. This is more difficult than you think because they don't use the same name for the same med. Like my Vimpat fiasco, the Doc calls it one thing and the Pharmacy another. Old man problems.

-7 degrees this morning along with 28 mph wind for a -35 degrees wind chill. Don't think I will be going outside for a while. The fire is started in the fireplace, coffee in the mug, and ready to start the day and work hard at staying warm! Have good ones!

A lot of condensation on the windows. I’ve got humidifiers cranking.
-7 here too. Just got back in from shoveling the driveway and walkway. We’ve got family coming in a couple days and I want to get ahead of it all. If I scrape the concrete, sunlight takes care of the residue quite nicely. I brought out my heavy duty cold weather gear. I was actually hot while I was out there pushing the snow around. It’s very light weight fluffy stuff. Not that heavy sticky wet stuff.

Up coffee Wordle. Still 22 degrees here, with a mixture of about a quarter inch of sno, ice, and sleet covering everything. Not going anywhere until it thaws out, sometime tomorrow. House temp set at 69, fire in the gas fireplace, watching Alicia Keyes on the Today show. She is something.

Even down here in Alabama, the temp is in the 20s with wind chills down close to 0. We will get below-zero wind chills tonight. I know it doesn't compare to the cold temps most of y'all get, but I think it qualifies as cold.
Lots of family around at the moment, so all is well.
