Clever. I guess he's glad he's married...
Back in the day I knew Dave's daughter.

Great tone, chops/technique. But a minute and a half in, I would be looking for the concession stand rather than sitting in my seat listening.

One thing I've noticed about Eric's playing is that he's certainly not afraid to slow the tempo (the tempo I'm most familiar with in the tunes he plays). Most of the fiddle tunes he's recorded are at what I would consider slower than dance tempo. I appreciate the approach. I appreciate the time to soak in the harmonies.

First time I’ve ever seen someone use his wedding ring for slide. And his mastery of harmonics, well, I sure can’t do that.

That looks like it would be a tough ring to get off if he came to the ER and you had to remove it. Not sure the string technique would work looking at the size of his knuckle. Would probably be time for the cutter.
What do you think Coachdoc?

He makes those Alaska Picks work. I never could.

He makes those Alaska Picks work. I never could. I bet that's the benefit of picking a technique and sticking with it until it works. I've never been able to do that (I give up too easily).

He's talented but I like more snot bubbles in my players.
I once saw Johnny Winter play about half the first lead break on Highway 61 Revisted using his mic stand as a slide. Plenty of snot bubbles. Glad I was 3 rows back.

Very accomplished guy. I was tickled by how he uses his wedding ring as a slide. **chuckle, chuckle** Though in a handful of places he falls out of rhythm to do a little extra trill thing. That took me out of the flow and I tripped over it.
