Good morning 9F-30F sunny. DaWife is giddy as a Schoolgirl about getting her new glasses in a week or so. With the surgery her near and far vision are corrected and the glasses with correct her mid vision field so she can drive again. She tells me that then I won't have to drive her everywhere. I like driving her places, gets us out of the house. Shop work and an errand. EDIT: Just got a text from the City. Saint Paul has lifted the One Side of the Street Only Parking Order. I can now park on my side of the street again.

It is heading up to a balmy 43 today. It still looks dismal out there. We will hit mid-60s over the next few days but rain storms will come with it. On a positive note, the daffodils are blooming.

Just got a text from the City. Saint Paul has lifted the One Side of the Street Only Parking Order. I can now park on my side of the street again. Uh-oh, you know what THAT means -- a blizzard is coming! And me with only two days left on my snowplowing contract! Chilly morning -- the good-looking lady put the jackets on her two greyhounds for their walk today.

Morning all. Coffee and Wordle. Nita is taking the Toyota in for a oil change this am. She got free oil changes for life when she bought the car. The Beaverton didn’t know that she would hold onto the car for 20 years, and no longer offers free oil changes for life, 😂 I’ll follow in the truck and we will hit Tradres for some stuff and get lunch somewhere.
It’s foggy and 36 here.

Cherry blossoms are just now peaking locally--it varies a few days or more depending on where it is.
A couple more days and the petals will fall and accumulate almost like snow.

No cherry blossoms yet, but our icicles are glistening like diamonds in the sun!

I will not be giddy, but I will be very happy if I can pass the vision test to renew my license this afternoon. I can see very well at far and well enough at mid, so I'm taking a chance on doing it without corrective lenses. The next appointment with my ophthalmologist has been changed twice. Due to other things coming up and an out of town trip shortly before my birthday, I need to get the license renewed. If I fail, I'll be forced to try again when new glasses are in hand, or on face. And Mr. H will be forced to chauffeur me around for a change, which means we'll only go where we need to go.
I will be glad to replace my current drugstore readers with glasses that will let me focus on a book or music on a stand with both eyes at the same time.
Looking for a high of 85 today. Then wind and dust and only 64 tomorrow.

Found this on YouTube this morning. Totally inappropriate for work, or probably anywhere else but dang funny.

I can drive!!! Just got back from the liquor store. It will be 3 weeks before I'll get new prescriptions for glasses but I can see. Then I'll have to go to the DMV and get legal. I have a letter from the DMV allowing me to drive for now.

HOORAY!
So, what kind of wine did you get to celebrate? (I'm betting on a nice California Merlot)

The new Menards is now open. They tore it down last Fall and we have been waiting for the new one to be done. We don't get out all that much unless it's something we need to do and I need a light bulb for over the stove and a 2x4 for the shop. It will have to be a quick trip as the girls are coming over later to watch The Mandalorian. They got Grandma hooked.

Good morning. Back home from Vinton, had to get blood drawn for my upcoming physical. Usually it's a 10 minute task, this morning when I got to the lab there were 7 people ahead of me. A long wait, but the sweetest, chatty young gal was drawing blood, made me hate to leave.
Of course I'd been fasting and decided I better stop at the Family Restaurant for some nourishment before attempting that long drive home. The Family Restaurant was not busy, I had a hearty breakfast and made it back home.

Just tested positive for Covid. A headache is the only symptom so far. There's a lot of it going around and most are mild cases. I'm hoping for the same.

We had two regulars leave their routes today. No explanation. Just walked off the job. More money for me. I watched a cat walk across a forty acre corn field while I was on my route today. It was such an odd thing to see, midfield as it was. I scanned the sky overhead. If it had been twilight I'd have worried that an owl would get him. Moving in silent desperation Keeping an eye on the other side A hypothetical destination Say, who is this walking cat? Walking cat Walking cat walks Any other cat stops and talks But the walking cat walks

I think the only thing of her's we've seen is My Life is Murder. Enjoyed that.
