For my editing shift tomorrow, I will tackle a long WashPo travel piece by a writer who spent 10 hours at the world's largest truck stop, just west of Davenport. Be still my heart.

Ever been there, Jan? Could be a great busking location for a Queen of the Concertina!

I've been there. It's like every other truck stop in the world, only bigger.

I have gotten gas there many times. I also filled up the car.

Ever been there, Jan? Could be a great busking location for a Queen of the Concertina! Yes, I have been there. Lar took me there on the way home from our first trip to Iowa. He thought I would enjoy seeing it and I did. It was a fun experience. I remember there being an old-time red pick up truck inside near the restaurant. Lar took photographs of me posing next to it. I have always wanted an old red pick up truck. Although, I’d settle for a new red one. Think I’ll go pull out those truck stop pics now.

dradtke has is right. It's like a truck stop but bigger. Not a whole lot going on besides truck stop stuff. On edit, Kim and I ate at the Iowa 80 Kitchen once and we both decided that one experience at that place was enough.

Jan, if you want a new red pickup truck all you need to do is go to the bank and take out $65,000 and go to your nearest dealer. Unless you want a really loaded one. Then take $80,000.

And get it soon. Biden's EPA intends to destroy the automotive industry starting in 2027 and completely obliterating it by 2032. Get a nice internal combustion engine while you still can before they're banned.

I was watching Barrett Jackson a few weeks ago and I saw my dream vehicle. A bright shiny red pick up truck. It was so delicious looking. What made it even more delicious is that is was owned by TOM SELLECK. It even came with an autographed photo of TOM SELLECK. I sat there staring at the TV and dreaming about driving that beautiful truck with TOM SELLECK’s photo riding shotgun. That was a beautiful dream. LOL! The truck ended up selling for $115,500.

He hauls his boat with his and I haul all of my music equipment and art show stuff. We have a third vehicle we bought when we got engaged. We bought a older Cadillac. It was to be our “Wedding Car.” I imagined myself getting into it wearing my wedding dress etc. We have an ELDERLY dog. Scott has had him since he was a puppy. Poor thing is about 14 years old and can barely move and he certainly can’t get up into an SUV. That means the only vehicle Scott can use to get him to the vet is the Cadillac. I am sure you can imagine how happy I was about that. Our beautiful Cadillac (that was supposed to be our wedding car) became the “Dog Mobile.” Zac even sits in the front seat where I would sit. That really pissed me off. Needless to say, I DID NOT ride in that car on our wedding day. Here’s the deal...I told Scott that since he turned our Cadillac into the dog mobile and it has lost its’ allure for me that when Zac goes to doggy heaven, I want to sell the Caddy and buy the red pick up. His response, “Deal.”

If I was that dog I’d be checking my six every couple of minutes.
