Good morning.
Going to see this film today:
It's based on the Broadway show about the unlikely friendship between Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach (Judaism's version of The Singing Nun, or the Rock Star Rabbi) and Nina Simone, the "High Priestess" of Soul music. Miss Simone's daughter Lisa Simone Kelly is the Executive Producer. I'm looking forward to this—when I was a kid, my father and Miss Simone were friends, and I may be one of the only Jewish kids from Queens who can say she made lunch for me. On more than one occasion.
Soul Doctor stars Tony nominee Josh Young as Shlomo and Nya as Nina (from Spectacular Magazine).
Wishing everyone a good day. Listen to some great music.

Good morning! We've got an outdoor gig this afternoon/evening and it looks like the weather will be tolerable, although a little windy. I'll be playing my "cheap" Martin and Lazarus will be safely at home.

Good morning 57F-84F partly cloudy. I still have a few guitars that may not be worth restoring, as a guitar, but!

Sunny, chilly, might rain later. therefore inside work. Investigating whether 1928-vintage wiring is functional for a new ceiling fan. This assumes Dawn is out of the house visiting clients; she might find it irritating to try to work whilst I am switching the power on and off.

Sealcoating day. Haircut day. Trump arraignment day. Trader Joe's shopping day.
I was editing a piece today on summer solstice celebrations next week (Minnesota, it seems, has a LOT of them) and was amazed by this statistic:
In Minneapolis, the summer solstice will have six hours and 51 minutes more daylight than the winter solstice in December.
Such a place. Of course, the same would hold true for any spot along the 45th parallel.

Up. Coffee with old farts day. Costco shopping day. Kicking around the idea of going to New York and seeing some plays at the end of Sept. as my wife will be there after a ten day card crafting cruise. I think I might do this. Might get to meet Howard. We will see.

Pleasant 74 degree day predicted here. I have some pleadings to draft, accounting to do, and then maybe head home to get started on my fence painting. My life is nearly as exciting as Bill's.

Did a sweep of cobwebs in the stairwell and shop area. Boy did it need that. Got laundry done and the cargo area of the truck cleaned and deodorized, that really needed to be done also. Now a sit down before some shop work.

Morning.
Survived Brothers' Golf. Three days, 54 holes of golf, 12 rubbers of bridge, a couple hours of pinochle, plus grilled steaks, beer, and peanuts. I am now fully refreshed and ready to face the work week grind! First up, water the zinnias!

Today we are taking the grandkids on a pontoon boat ride around Lake Pleasant. Picnic on the boat and lay anchor somewhere near shore so they can swim.

This assumes Dawn is out of the house visiting clients; she might find it irritating to try to work whilst I am switching the power on and off. I'm sure you probably know this, but make sure the junction box is rated for hanging a ceiling fan. Don't ask me how I acquired this knowledge.

The Kennedy Guitars golf team had its best showing ever in the United Way Golf Classic scramble. Nine under, fourteen under won. My Chicago kid who is a single digit handicap came in and basically did it all. The rest of the team was comprised of an 84 year old that had a coronary artery bypass and hip replacement last year, a 71 year old that had a hip replacement six weeks ago, and a 78 year old (myself) with a herniated disk. We contributed a few long putts and good approaches but that was about it.

Well, in less than an hour, two fit young men prepped and sealcoated my driveway, and then I was unburdened of $560.
Hope my haircut is cheaper.
