Good morning, everyone. It's still dark and cool here. I have nothing planned except to go to church and to work up photos from past trips to British Columbia. Enjoy yourself. Wordle 736 4/6* β¬β¬β¬π¨π¨ β¬π©β¬π©π¨ β¬π©π¨π©π¨ π©π©π©π©π©

Faith is reasonable, but it is not certain. It's early dawn and I'm out on the back porch listening to the rain and thunder finally put a dent in this month-long drought. The rain will mostly stop in time for me to deliver Amazon. Tomorrow I start a new route.

We got an inch of rain overnight. What a welcome sound that was. It wonβt make much of a dent, though, since we are 7 inches behind in rain for the yearβ6 now, I guess. Lawns are dry enough to catch fire. I was hoping today would be rain filled but Alexa says no. And Alexa knows everything.

Our forecast keeps calling for showers and thunderstorms, not much of which we have seen. Yesterday, our building bbq was canceled because of the impending bad weather, and it didn't rain at all. That, however, made my walk through Brooklyn with John and Erin much more pleasant. See the tail end of yesterday's daily for our assessments and a photo of a stellar 1941 D-18 I played at Retrofret.
Back to real life now, shopping, laundry, etc. Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday.
Note to JBushouse: today might be a good day to hop on the A train to Washington Heights and visit The Cloisters (the Metropolitan Museum's medieval annex) in Fort Tryon Park. The Cloisters is an old monastery that was moved from Europe and reassembled stone by stone. The museum is beautiful, there's a flower and herb garden, and the views of the Hudson River and the Palisades are memorable. Get off the train at 190th Street Station and walk right into the park; follow the main path up the hill.
You'll find this place:

Good morning. We had rain last evening and some overnight. I went out and checked the rain gauge this morning and to my surprise it said 7/8 of an inch. That makes a little over 2 inches in the last 10-12 days. I'm going to get to mow again soon.

As a photo it's beautiful but it looks like a hotel room painting. Good morning, everyone. It's still dark and cool here. Good morning
62F-72F mostly cloudy.
RAIN last night and still coming down. Haven't had to mow the brown lawn in weeks, now it will shoot up like crazy. Might have a little water in the basement. Maybe not since I have the window wells covered now. I'll know in a few minutes when I go down to inspect the shop.
Breakfast and shopping, then maybe more shopping or shop cleaning. I'll know when DaWife tells me.

Morning. Breaking camp today and heading home. Fun trip, good weather, good food, socializing with other Airstreamers. A few niggling things to fix on the trailer. As Rosanne Rosannedana said, βitβs always something.β

Howard--I get the met cloisters via your link.
(for kicks I asked google to give me directions, but it didn't do too well, got to JFK but then a strange dotted line arching across to it from there, maybe a helicopter ride?)

I had a winery gig postponed because of the rain which is fine. Weβll take any rain we can get. My place got a total of 1/2 inch, not the inch Paleo got. Itβs amazing how a fairly short distance can vary in terms of rain amounts.

Yes, it's the map of the area, so they can visualize where the subway stop is in relation to the museum.

Morning,
We got a slow and steady 1.25", not a drop wasted. GF was really dry, the farm a fair bit less so, and central ND is in great shape. Sounds like a good chance of a little more rain today. Have a matinee performance today. Never cared for matinees. But, it's a job and you never turn down a job in this biz.

You won't regret it. When you look west over the Hudson, the sense of space you get is quite the relief from the canyons of Manhattan. The Palisades are the cliffs along the west bank of the Hudson.
