Prince Humperdink declares that today is Hump(erdink) Day.
Getting through the week. Have a good day, all, and I hope it's not too smoky in your burg.

Good morning, all. There's a lot of smoke and heat around the country. We have the heat but not the smoke. Bear up.

Lots of smoke. It smells like everybody is burning wood. Of course, Canada is burning wood. The good, or better, thing is it’s a bit cooler so we can hack, cough, and sneeze in relative comfort. Barb and I are breathing on alternating days.

Up early. No smoke here, thank goodness. I urge those that are dealing with that issue to buy a hepa air filter for the house. There only 2-300 bucks and well worth the investment. Check out Blue Air.
Nothing much going on here today, eat left over mex food for breakfast, mess around with a guitar, go for a bike ride, then maybe a nap, that’s about it.

I'm home today. I just got done walking IceSha 4 miles. In a while I'm going to drive over to Bourbon (20 minutes from here) and see about an open rural route over there. Bourbon doesn't get Amazon.
I'm also meeting an old friend (the guy who video taped the Valparaiso gathering) for lunch.

Good morning! Air quality alert here again today. I was hoping for a bike ride, but I'll wait for cleaner air.
So, sticking close to home, I think I'll harvest my Saskatoon berries today. I won't get a lot, but with icecream they will be extra delicious.

Good morning
67F-81F mostly cloudy.
Shop time this morning. Finally get to work on some different projects. I only get a few hours a day in my shop before I wear out so it takes awhile to finish a repair. Then I'll have to hit the Cub pharmacy for supplies.
In a few days the new pot laws come into effect.
Possession for adults 21 and older will be legal starting Aug. 1, with limits. Minnesotans will be permitted to have up to two pounds of marijuana at home and two ounces while in public. Sale of the drug will still be illegal without a state license.
Between the forest fires, fireworks and pot it will be a smoky 4th of July.
EDIT: Looks like I screwed the mule once again. Aug 1st not July 1st.

Less smoky today than yesterday. Smoke and haze yesterday were unlike anything I've ever seen.
Short bike ride already - dropped off the van for a likely power steering pump replacement and rode home. The trip to retrieve it will involve a substantial hill climb. Otherwise working on the shed, correcting my mistakes and mistakes of nature - carefully selected, clear grained trim pieces are warping and self-destructing.

Back at work today and intent on catching up. I am less behind than anticipated. Maybe I can go home early to rest my darned back.
Beautiful day. Clear skies and expected temps in the 80s. Sorry for you in the smokey areas. I have had that experience and it is no fun.

It's smokey here in suburban Chicago. I'm packing to leave from a visit to a good friend of mine, and him and I meeting up with this guy last night at an open mic. He's doing well, looking good and sounding great. That guitar he's got is the Rainsong he's talked about, all decaled up, and I think it sounded really nice as Marshall moved up and down the neck last night.

Morning!
After a pleasant day, a batch rain cells fired up in central ND, grew and spread, and over the evening doused the entire region with a nice, long rain. Grand Forks got .7" and, judging by radar, the farm got a fair bit more. In a word, HOORAY!

Another day of getting a good amount of work done. Bridge glued up on a Laguna, a setup on a Yamaha classical and some seams glued up on a 1940s Harmony archtop.
The Laguna is one of those super glue jobs where the bridge was glued right to the finish and it came loose, duh! I very carefully cut the finish away on the top so there could be wood to wood contact between the top wood and the bridge. Now it's in clamps and tomorrow I'll set it up.

BIG thunder rolling by. My boys were outside and came running. Usually a little rain storm doesn't bother them and they have their spots to wait it out. But that very loud thunder had them running for the house. .
