We lost my kid sister 47 years ago today. She was the family jewel. Our lives changed forever.

That must have been hard, Howard. One thing we all experience is loss.
We're under both a high heat advisory and an air quality alert today. As long as we don't breathe or go outside we should be okay.

Good morning, all.
Blessings to you and your family, Howard.
I'm out of COVID isolation now, and this is my first day back at work. I'm wearing a mask for a few days. I'd forgotten how much they annoy me. I'm feeling much better than I did 2-3 days ago, but am not 100% yet. I suspect it will be a tiring day, but we need as many hands on deck as we can get at the clinic.

A cool, overcast morning, and I was so looking forward to a breakfast of oatmeal infused with a couple soft boiled eggs. Alas, we had run out of eggs. All I got was the oatmeal.

"Police fatally shoot man with machete" according to the Indianapolis Star headline. I scanned the article trying to find out what caliber machete they shot him with but couldn't find the info. Then I realized they may have meant "Man with machete shot by police."
Sometimes I am too much of a literalist. For example, if I see an ad for an electric pencil sharpener my first thought is, "But I don't have any electric pencils."

Just an errand to run today and then I can collapse and feel lousy. Bad nights sleep due to meds. Some meds have withdrawal if you stop taking them, run out, and then you have to get used to it again. I'll get over it.
Down to the shop for a few minutes and then to the Post Office. That will earn me enough $ to take the rest of the day off to whine.

Busy morning, I was up early, coffeed up and then did a quick 12 mile bike ride. Of course I was hungry after the ride so I had eggs with sautéed onions, and peppers, topped with Boursin cheese. Turkey bacon and OJ on the side.
