Basic - with John Travolta and Samuel Jackson. Travolta plays an interrogator of Army Rangers involved in a torturous training mission.
Arrival - Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker. Adams is a linguist sought by the US government to interpret aliens. Sounds goofy, but it is an interesting study/story on human's potential reaction to first contact. Nominated for 8 Academy Awards.
State of Play - Russel Crows as a journalist investigating a political cover-up and murders.
It was enjoyable to watch shows where I could not predict the next scene or series of events. All three movies were well-acted and kept me glued to my seat.

I’ll check these out.
I’m on the verge of dropping Netflix as they never seem to have anything we want to watch.
