Good morning. In late afternoon we'll fly to California for a weekend in Livermore with our two daughters. The lab where younger daughter works is having an open house of sorts. She'll be able to show us some of what's involved in her work. Meanwhile I need to pack.

Slept like a log.
Coffee is ready and a shower awaits.
It’s another cool & rainy day here.
Tomorrow we are going to a party for one of Barb’s sisters who turns 95 today.
Her other sister is 97.
As you may have guessed, Barb was a late addition to her family as was I to mine.

Good morning 41F-64F mostly sunny. Woken up at 1:30 on the dot to gunfire. A few shots exchanged at first, which is what woke me, and then everybody mag dumped. Good 30 rounds or more. Probably farther than a block away and no sirens heard before or afterwards. Got a INR today and a short trip to the pharmacy. Wish we could afford to move.  |

Wow! I just noticed the ash trees have turned a bright yellow! Just happened. I better enjoy them now. As tomorrow they will all be on the car, sidewalk and lawn. When an ash lets go, it really lets go.

It's what I am assuming is the last outdoor gig of the year. I had been a bit worried about playing on October 20 outside starting at 5:00, but it might be 70 degrees out there when we start. When the Hawkeyes have a home game, you don’t want to be anywhere near Coralville and Iowa City unless you have tickets to the game. Even the mall lots are full of parked cars with shuttles going to the stadium. |
