Good morning, folks. I'm feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by my hiking/photography trip even though the place didn't serve up a lot of photos. That's okay. Photos are just an excuse for going where I want to go.
We have a couple of weather systems moving through in the next couple of days. It'll be cool today with rain this evening. This morning I'll have my weekly Zoom breakfast meeting, followed by a trip to the grocery store.
All's well here. Be of good cheer.

You do rise early, don't you, Don?
Nothing major to report here. Another work day, school day. Lunch is ready to go to work, breakfast for the teen about to happen. Bills to pay later.
Wishing all a good day from Fun City.

You are both up too early. So am I, but I have an early eye doctor appointment. Today my eyes are dilated and tomorrow I have a colonoscopy. Talk about a fun way to approach the weekend. Not much else to say except ugh!

So you are going to be dilated at both ends, essentially. I hope all goes smoothly. I think colonoscopy prep is worse than the procedure itself.
I am up this early every weekday, to prepare my own lunch, and to make sure the teen doesn't leave for school on an empty stomach. On weekends, I get to sleep in until 7:00 am! Wahoo!

Good way to put it. Yes, the prep is the worse part. The rest is pretty easy. A curse of retirement is waking up early. No matter what time I go to bed, 6 arrives and I wake up. The days of sleeping in until 8-9 are a thing of the past.

Why I like to get up early:
1. A new day is like a second chance. I haven't had time to foul anything up.
2. My creative juices are flowing early. They dry up after sunrise.

Chris Smither said early morning is like looking at a fresh beach. There are no footprints on it.

I’m a morning person. If you want to get the worm, you got to be an early bird.
Today we have lunch reservations with a couple from Yamhill we met through the Airstream club. They are great people and I’m excited to see them. And we are going to the only restaurant in OR that made the top 100 restaurants in the country according to open table. Rosmarino Osteria Italiano, so, should be good. And the rain returns today. For now, coffee and toast.

Good morning
25F-38F sunny.
I was a morning person for a long time but that was due to having one vehicle and two people that had to be to work in two different places making one of us on time and the other very early. Once we had two vehicles I was just used to starting early and liked getting a bit of uninterrupted work done before the shop opened. Now with my home shop being early was no longer needed. DaWife will work from home until June when she retires and having only one vehicle has been just fine.

Good morning, folks. I'm feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by my hiking/photography trip even though the place didn't serve up a lot of photos. That's okay. Photos are just an excuse for going where I want to go. That reminds me. Yesterday morning, shortly after sunrise, I stopped to photograph some backlighted autumn leaves next to a very wide area in the stream. As I was doing so, a great blue heron came in for a landing. The pool is a good place for herons to fish and I've seen them fishing there before. He seemed to spot me as he was descending. He pulled up and flew a large circle that included passing right over my head. He then alit on the far side of the stream and watched me. Naturally, I had the wrong lens on the camera for photographing a heron. I changed the lens and had started changing the exposure and focus settings when the heron's patience ran out and he flew away. Too bad I got no photos but it was cool all the same.

Good morning. My dogs make sure that I'm a morning person. At least until they're fed and have gone out. I have and appointment with the podiatrist this afternoon for a diabetes foot checkup. I'm due to be eligible for a new pair of diabetes prescription shoes so I'll be getting the scrip and heading over to the prosthetics store to get measured and have the order sent in. After that it's a bike ride and guitars. Have a great day everyone.

I have been an early riser my entire life. When I was a kid I had to get up really early if I wanted time in the bathroom. Six of us and only one bathroom. Ugh! Then my career in healthcare had me on the job at 6:00am.
Now, my internal clock still has me awakening at 3:00am. I love it. I get to the gym at 4:00am and workout with a couple of other people my age who don’t like to (or can’t) sleep later either. I love the drive to the gym at that time of the day. I see deer frolicking in the fields and critters of all kinds in and/or crossing the road. I find it interesting and quite delightful how alive the world is at 4:00am. As I drive home and the sun is coming up, I don’t see any of that.
I can’t imagine sleeping till 8:00-9:00. I would feel like the best part of a day had been wasted.
Worked on Christmas music this morning. Only four more shows left this year. I believe I did 40 senior shows so far this year. I wondered when I pulled out of doing beer gardens if I would regret it. NOPE! I don’t miss them at all. Bonny and I have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED performing for seniors. It has been an incredible year.
I am off to the horse therapy ranch now.
Have a good one, everyone!

Photos are just an excuse for going where I want to go. This was a highly enjoyable film. I usually find Stiller annoying, but he was fabulous in this one. Great story surviving yet another iteration.

I'm still alive and I usually awake at about 10 AM - tai chi, scan body meditation, food, liquid, and writing.... blow away the cobwebs..... (three hours) 1PM Pacific Standard Time
The weather is always better in California...... Beach boys and girls - nudist beaches Some senior souls have wrinkled skin without clothes We have four months of "ugly" weather
Haiku
Last day November Near the wintry wind snow ice Slippery sidewalk
Ho Ho Ho (a smile) "Humbug" (slip a banana core)
I like Christmas semi-music
