This family band is on indefinite hiatus because they were all getting married and having babies and whatnot. They are mostly a bluegrass band, but I happened upon this cover of John Conlee's song "Rose-Colored Glasses," which I think they play just fine.
Buddy Roberston's voice just slays me every time, perfect for this kind of song and for bluegrass, too. And he just keeps going through that broken e string. The mandolin player is his older sister, and the fiddle player is his twin sister. Those voices.

I love sibling harmonies. There is something about how their overtones match up. Think Everlies and Delmores and such. It can be very special.

That is the nicest version I have heard. Howard, I agree that Robertson's voice is wonderful on this song. I love his inflections and adlibs. Tasty!

Not the Lennon Sisters - 1950s the Welk liked the group I never liked that show (my family had to see the ad - live - because they were adman) That was before remotes - I went to the kitchen - some snacks
