Some of you may have read recent post about our products.
It is our goal to provide systems that can be installed by end users as much as possible.
One such system, already demonstrated here on this forum, is the ES replacement system. We make as Drop in replacement for the ES 1 and ES 2, OEM Taylor systems that have 9 volt battery boxes.
Because over the last 10 years or so the ES 2 has been setup with one saddle dimension, we simply provide a saddle that fits in place of the original saddle. This means no setup time or issues. The Go AA pickup saddle drops-in at the same action height.
If lower action as desired the bottom of the pickup saddle can be ground off on a flat surface up too 2 mm, which lowers the action 1 mm or .040 inches at the 12th fret.
In the videos, shown on another thread, we replaced the system in the studio during filming. It took minutes to remove and replace.
The Go AA preamp aligns into the 3 control pot. holes in the side.
The only alteration to the guitar is drilling 2 holes through the saddle slot to insert the signal path pickup cables.
We provide a DIY kit that includes a drill guide and bit. The guide simply inserts in the slot and has two guide holes to align the pickups cables accurately.
The original ES 2 pickup is inserted from inside the guitar up through the top. The lateral compression screws need to be loosened but then the pickup is easily pushed out below and removed.
We provide a molded replacement plug to fill the 3 holes they drill.
There original battery box cable, with output leads, Connects to the Go AA preamp.
Before mounting the preamp in its final position, we provide a mounting bracket so the preamp can be held in the sound hole for adjusting Perfect string balance.
You can play and adjust the strings to perfect balance with the preamp setup in the sound hole with immediate access to the vol.adjustment pots. No under saddle balancing compromises and pulling the saddle to adjust pressure.
One issue that is an obstacle is the barrel nuts that hold the preamp in the side holes, it has 2 notches for turning the nuts. We provide a tool to fit the notches in the nuts. We also provide a tool that fits the micro pots for adjustment in the preamp.

So we have done all we can to make this accessible to any reasonably dexterous person so they can feel confident installing the system.
If there is one OEM system we hear about often its the ES. So long as the guitar has the OEM 9 volt battery box the Go AA replacement will drop in. For older AA battery box systems a 9 volt battery box can be installed and we have done many of them, but that is not DIY.

On another note.
We are in the process of releasing a new Drop-in system for Fishman side mount preamps. Prefix, prefix pro, and presys systems.
Here is a prototype of that system in the design stage.

We hope to have this new side mount available in the coming months. Notice the string balancing pots are accessible by opening the pivoting panel and removing the battery. Here is an earlier prototype we have had limited availability for, for a while now.
