Good morning, John and everyone else.
Today I'll have my Zoom social breakfast, shop for groceries and see my dentist. Behave yourselves.

There were 3-4 coyotes by the pond howling last night at about 8. Very close and very loud. Other than that, all systems are normal.

It is 39 degrees out this morning and only a high of 69 today. But sunny and mild nonetheless. Our English Lab boy Rocky is already deaf, but now also has cataracts. He is starting to have issues now. It’s very expensive to get those treated in dogs, but we scheduled an appointment to have his eyes evaluated for cataract surgery. Being both deaf AND blind is just an unacceptable reality if we can fix it.

Cool start to the day. In the hot tub at 5am sipping coffee under the the clearest, moon free, most vivid night sky in awhile watching the meteor shower. Counted 60 shooting stars in 35 minutes. On edit: from the link highlandcountypress.com/opinions/greatest-meteor-shower-recorded-history#gsc.tab=0In the early morning of November 13, 1833, the entire United States east of the Rocky Mountains was treated (or terrified) by what may have been the greatest meteor shower in recorded history. That chilly night, the stars rained down like snow, onlookers remembered. An estimated 72,000 meteors criss-crossed the sky each hour, prompting some people to fall to the ground prostrate, praying to God to save the world. At the time, the true cause of meteors was not known, so many religious persons assumed the end of days had arrived.

Good morning.
29F-47F sunny.
I actually got errands done and quite of bit of work done in the shop yesterday before I tired out. Today is just shop time.
A Brown Christmas is on the rare side around here as we are used to having a White Christmas and very cold weather. Holiday travelers stuck in the airport due to bad weather are the norm. Don't think that will happen this year, fingers crossed.

There was nothing on the calendar today, so I was going to be getting things done around the house and goofing off. But last night as we were getting ready for bed Mr. H broke one of his hearing aids. Partially deaf and partially blind is not good. I'll be taking him to Costco to try to get it repaired. He thinks that can be done. If not, it will be a lot more dollars and he'll probably have to schedule an appointment.
Starting out at 39 degrees in Tucson.

Good morning. Overcast day, supposed to get up into the low 70's. Meh weather. Today I've got some minor financial issues to take care of and wedding registries to peruse for gifts for two nieces who are getting married next in January and March. One is in San Diego and one in Houston. Their mother, my sister who lives in New Jersey is going crazy with wedding preps. She and her husband are going to be on the road in their RV for the first quarter of next year getting ready. Glad our family is past that big event for our daughter. Have a great day folks.

Morning. Coffee and toast and Wordle.,the usual. Heading out to get the wife a stocking stuffer later, should be fun battling the crowd for a parking spot at the mall. Not, but what ever. Need to visit a butcher, want to do a eye of round roast for Xmas day, for when the kids come over. Going to try a recipe from Cooks illustrated, a low and slow oven roast, should be good.

Good morning enjoy your day
I did some Tai Chi prayers and talk to my friends, planet and even the people I don’t care for them - 🙏
I’m looking for another group - (music reflections) perhaps they have different flexible conversations. This SH is too strict Perhaps National Aphasia Association - Forum ZOOM - flexible “former Director of the CIA and retired four-star general in the US Air Force, suffered a stroke resulting in aphasia in 2018. Since that time, General Hayden has served as a fierce advocate, educating people about stroke and aphasia across all of his popular platforms. This strong voice has invited individuals with aphasia to embrace their recovery journey and results in amplifying the voices of a community often forced quiet and isolated by an unwarrented social stigma.“
“Leave the world behind”- I watched that series. It was sort of fun, but it was “ it’s the same old stuff” movie. There was some family issues. But it was mostly a disaster film. Anyway, it was a smidge pleasant experience for therapy for me.
that’s all for me

Too much time on my hands. I started thinking about small-bodied guitars and recollected playing a wonderful Huss and Dalton 00. So onto Reverb.com I went. And there was a nice little Koa 00 model with the price of $1,999 - priced much lower than others because it has a repaired headstock break.
The headstock break does not bother me if it has been properly repaired. The GAS was hitting hard, but as I looked around my room I saw 4 wonderful acoustic guitars that I do not play enough. Spending averted.

David, if you’d sell me your 000 18, you’d only have three wonderful guitars you don’t play enogh.

I am happy to report that because Mr. H's hearing aids are less than 5 years old, Costco replaced the receiver free of charge. However, we spent more than the $135 that it would have cost on other purchases. And we're having Costco's lasagna for dinner.

I hope things work out the best for your dog, Paul. Those decisions are never easy.
I've been looking forward to a colonoscopy all week and it finally happened today. It's done, I've eaten a couple bowls of cream of chicken and rice soup I made ahead of time for the occasion, and I'm back to a normal day again tomorrow.
