Good morning. Cloudy this morning, supposed to rain later today and this evening. I've got an appointment with the heart doctor. Regular checkup, so I'll probably survive. Life goes on so we might as well enjoy ourselves. Have a great day.

Good morning. It looks like high 40s to low 70s here. Nothing much to report. Muddle on.

Morning, the sun is almost up, coffee is being consumed, Wordle is done by the skin of my teeth, and the day is begun. Picking up Nita’s sister and bro in law at PSP this morning. After dropping their luggage at the condo we hit up Sherman’s for brunch. Then we will cruse El Paseo Drive, the deserts answer to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, with eyes peeled for Ferraris, Lambos, and Bentleys. (Yeah, there is some ostentatious money down here)
Afternoon bike ride, and hanging by the pool.

Good morning.
16F-28F mostly cloudy.
Finally got a whole nights sleep, not waking up every hour or so and feeling better for it.
Do need to make a run to the pharmacy but that's it for going outside. I'll try to do a little shop work, fill the humidifier if nothing else.

16F-28F mostly cloudy sunny. Last few days of my driveway plowing contract and also the last few days of walleye at Culver's for the year. I'll get one today, extra tartar sauce, pleeze.

Good morning, all. Lovely Spring weather here.
Don't tell Marshall, but the all-new-and-improved ToneDexter2 is now available and shipping. I won't be getting one since nearly all my pickups are magnetic (Mojotones, and I love them), but you know Marshall will be tempted ...

Got a little more rain yesterday, making for a cold and wet walk and a scurry back to the house when it started up again. Orthodontist visit this morning. Hoping that there will finally be a date to get rid of these damned braces. They said a year and it has been 19 months. I want to eat popcorn, peanut butter, corn on the cob, nuts, and all that other stuff that is banned. A Costco run later or maybe tomorrow. My Gibson sounds better with its new strings. How about that?

You might try putting it all in a blender and making a no-no smoothie.

with eyes peeled for Ferraris, Lambos, and Bentleys. You must have done well on the Mercedes sale! Going through my to-do list, balancing accounts, refunding a client overpayment (happens once every 20 years), then off to babysit my grandson.

I had a very good day yesterday. Saved about $8,000.
Monday I had my semi-annual HVAC inspection in my service plan. The tech told me, with great sadness, that he found a crack in my heat exchanger that presented grave danger of fire or CO asphyxiation. The solution was a replacement heat exchanger for $5,300 or a new furnace for $8,500. Severe depression set in.
We had the cash, thank God, but had more exciting hopes for its use. We were almost ready to ok a replacement furnace but at some point he oversold the eminent danger. We decided to get a second opinion. He told me he couldn't restart my furnace and had me sign a waiver of liability.
Yesterday, the tech from the second company did his inspection, including looking at pictures of the "crack" provided by tech 1. The new guy said it was a harmless rust spot. He also emailed both his own pictures and those from tech 1 to colleagues for confirmation. All agreed there was no problem. There was a broken sensor that needed replacing at $450.
Also, the new guy said that, if the heat exchanger had needed replacing, his company's price would have been $2,300, less than half the other estimate.
Needless to say, I have a new HVAC provider. (And our potential vacation fund is flusher.)

I won't be getting one since nearly all my pickups are magnetic (Mojotones, and I love them), but you know Marshall will be tempted ... Oh, I hang out at Acoustic Guitar Forum, and I've been reading about TDII for a good while. People who get them love them. I'm sure it's a fabulous product. For some cheap reason I'm staying out of this one. I'm having good success using my NUX Optima Air modeling pedal. It's $180. A new TDII is $600. And I have decided I don't need/want my amplified guitar to sound exactly like my acoustic guitar. They are two different settings. Sure I want a more acoustic sound, but it doesn't have to be (nor should it be) exactly like the acoustic sound. Here's Aaron Short's review of TDII It shows the TDII reproduces the mic sound well. But that sound is not exactly what you want to amplify. Most people mix in some natural pickup and use EQ to get the live sound they want. Yes TDII is an excellent (superior?) product. But even that need tweaking in a live setting.

I think a nice retirement gift for Howard would be a calendar, what do you say, folks? Tired of living in the past? I don’t know. I hear he likes Italian food. Maybe a Colender. Mike As a plus, a colender can be placed on the head to keep the gov’ment from reading your thoughts.

If the government is reading my thoughts, it's wasting taxpayers' money.

After posting the daily my breakfast bounced, hard. Been in bed most of the day. DaWife made me a lovely omelet for dinner and that seems to be staying down. Back to bed and I'll try again tomorrow.
Probably have one of those nasty flu bug that hang on forever.
