For a long time I've been interested in these. So many Pros use them for playing live. Their palathetic pickup is supposedly individual string piezos. But most of the ones I like the looks of are 644 scale. Or something else wasn't quite right. Then I found that their thin bodies are 630 scale and the nicer ones have the upgraded pickup system. But they are pricy new. So I surfed on Reverb and found a used one in Japan for about half price. But it had to come from Japan. I asked people on Acoustic Guitar Forum about buying from a shop in Japan. People said this shop is very reputable. No problems. So I popped for it. And it came today via Fedex. Looks great. No duties or customs issues. I haven't plugged it in yet, but the guitar looks and plays terrific so far. It's thin sounding acoustically, as one would expect from a thin body (probably plywood top). But I wanted to try this for the pickup system anyway.

I take that back. It's a solid top.

They have used the same preamp frame for a long time now so as the preamps change you can easily switch them out. The thinner body has less feedback issues.
