Good morning, my huckleberry friends.
It's getting warmer here. The last half of April is when the air conditioning ordinarily gets turned on. It will be with us until October.
Keep on the sunny side but wear a hat.

Good morning. Looks like a nice weather day here in Florida. I've got the Crystal River song circle this afternoon, not much of anything else on the agenda, so I guess I'll just spend the rest of the day goofing off. Have a great day folks.

Good morning. It's a Gatorade day for me. Colonoscopy tomorrow. Pictures to follow.
Actually drinking a Monster Energy drink for breakfast. Add a little water. Heat it up in the microwave. Not bad at all.

My grandpa's '66 Galaxie 500 had a factory-installed 8-track, the first one ever from a car maker. It came with two tapes...a collection of Mancini hits and one I can't remember by Chet Atkins.

I never appreciated the music of many people, including Henry Mancini, when I was a kid. Growing up somewhat was necessary to acquire those tastes.

I got to know Mancini's music by way of Mantovani (who my dad was a huge fan of). Mantovani LPs were on the stereo ALL the time. Moon River

Bill Lear, the inventor of the 8-track, was quite the inventor. The 8-track was a second go-round for him. Long before, he invented the car radio. He christened it the "Motorola". He also designed the jet that bears his name, the Learjet, as well as all sorts of avionics. And yes, he named his daughter Shanda. Shanda Lear

1974 or so my family and I attended a concert by Andy Williams and Henry Mancini at the Duluth Arena/Auditorium. It was wonderful...Andy sang like, well, Andy Williams which was fabulous. Mancini and his excellent orchestra played his hits and he was very funny. What a treat that was.
Paul Revere and the Raiders in 1967 at the same location. And in the 70's Judy Collins, Harry Chapin, Anne Murray, Melissa Manchester and Gordon Lightfoot.

Another lovely spring day, partly cloudy, breezy.
Yesterday evening marked the opening of back porch reading and pipe smoking season. I have a substantial backlog of reading material and a reasonable stash of Virginia Flake and Dr. Bradley's Mixture.
A few errands by bicycle this morning, thence some garage work. Scattered some grass seed in bare spots yesterday, too lazy to water it, rain expected tomorrow.

Create New Habits
It is entirely possible to create new, mindful, positive habits. This is certainly possible with the practice of loving speech and deep listening toward ourselves. Positivity and gratitude slowly become a new, mindful habit.

My parents were big fans of Mancini's music so it was inherently uncool. I can view it a little more objectively now. It was fine. In the House of Music there's a room for the kind of thing Mancini did.

Actually drinking a Monster Energy drink for breakfast. Add a little water. Heat it up in the microwave. Not bad at all. You are kidding, right? Only clear liquids allowed today. Normally I drink a lot of hot/warm tea. It seems to help with the gunk that I normally in my throat. So, I’m diluting the energy drink and warming it up a bit. Not bad at all.

…there's a room for the kind of thing Mancini did. And that room goes up and down at the push of a button. ( Henry Mancini Plays “101 Strings Play the Beatles”) I know Mancini did a lot of great work and deserved all the accolades but…

Windy, raining and thunder.
Had a client by this morning to pick up a finished repair and he saw I was working on a Yamaha classical that I own. He'll be back this afternoon to buy it.
