Dark and dusty in the desert. Air quality and high wind warnings. No bike ride for me today. Got a stripped out screw in my front door latch, gonna try the toothpick/wood glue trick to secure it. Should work, I hope. So, off to Lowe’s in a bit for wood glue. Also a trip to Traders for some snacks. We decided to leave next Monday morning, as soon as our garbage service picks up the trash and recycling from the curb. Need to clear out the fridge as much as possible before we leave. Still catching up on our laundry after Hawaii. And that’s about it from So Cal.

It's nice and sunny out, but still a bit cool to be sitting outside. Good news for me is that I got the clearance to start work part-time on Monday. Living in the country with a driving restriction I feel like I've been under house arrest, and it'll be good to get out.

Another stunning day. On my way back from an early work outing to Lafayette. Before leaving town I stopped at home Depot for fencing. Same Home Depot where Wendy and I had a hot kissing session when dating. Coupla 60Somethings acting like teens.

Glad you're doing better, Todd.
We're near Sptingfield, IL today. One of my step-nephews owns a chocolate shop near here, so we're going to pay a visit. Then maybe see Lincoln's tomb if we're feeling adventurous.

Good morning.
32F-59F sunny.
"Well if it ain't one thing it's another" as Roseanna would say. Got over the Vicoza effects and now I've got vertigo again. At leash I know how to cure that thanks to my PTs. So after breakfast I'll give that a try, it's worked before.
On the good side US Bank HR has told DaWife they are ready to process her retirement as they received all her paperwork. So her last day of working will be June 14th. I've been stashing money away to give her a modest surprise retirement party on the 15th and I'm sure Kaiah will help me plan that.

Morning!
Sunny and cool, but my tomatoes are in their toasty greenhouse. And I'm in my toasty kitchen. With the musical done, I feel like I've just retired with my days all my own. What to do... too early to nap, think I'll do a little gloating while googling up some Phoenix sports columns, then maybe go for a walk with Casper.

Todd: glad you're feeling better and can get out and about now.
Marty: I hope you start feeling better fast.
drlj: I hope you are having a decent day and looking forward to getting that cast removed tomorrow, with the most positive results.
Overcast and 51°F in Brooklyn right now. The rest of the day stretches before me with some things to do, should I choose to do them.

I guess five grand went a long way in 1800.

Brilliant sun today, purdy. I'll reward myself after work with a lamb shank dinner from Zakia Deli, with rice pilaf, tabouli, Lebanese salad, pita and spicy tahini sauce on the side. Can't wait!

Home from my annual wellness checkup and breakfast at Oscar's. All is well.
The wind had died down, the sun is shining, I'll be mowing lawn this afternoon.
My lifetime Iowa fishing license with trout stamp, arrived in the mail yesterday, now I need to go fishing

I'll summarize the Phoenix sports columns. The D'Backs' injuries include three pitchers from the starting rotation, two starting position players and their closer. They're lucky to be playing about .500.

It is NBA playoff time and the T-Wolves are up 2-0 on the Suns. And in that light, I would like to propose a modest wager on who will win last night's game, say a twenty. I'll even spot you 11 points.

Dropped the 4runner off for an oil change. Now it is time for office work, then lawn mowing before our anticipated week-long rainy weather begins.

Good afternoon. Back from kayaking on the Chassahowitzka River with my fellow Audubon folks. It was the first time I've been kayaking and now that I'm home I'm exhausted in a good way. Had some mishaps falling out of the kayak, the model my friend lent me had a very high center of gravity compared to the other kayaks in the group so that's my excuse.....
Anyway, we saw some wood ducks, green heron's and limpkins, (all first-time sightings in my birding log), as well as an immature bald eagle, a grown-up eagle, some ospreys, pelicans and ibis. The coolest bird sighting was an anhinga who was diving for fish and surfacing right next to our kayaks as we were paddling along. We also came across a group of about 8 manatees with calves feeding on the water grasses. Quite an excellent morning's expedition. Good stuff!
I think I'll spend the rest of the day recuperating and messing around on my guitars. Have a great day.

HOWARD "I like to think of Florida as "God's waiting room."
The Florida were waiting ----- older white belts, white shoes -heaven or hell-
aka Phoenix, AZ - blue hairs, white belts, white shoes
Humour humour humour.....
