Good morning. Surprised there's no daily thread yet. Anyway, not much on the books today. House cleaning, bike ride, guitars and shopping. The usual. Have good ones folks.

Rainy overnight. Cool and rainy now but it may get a bit sunny later. I was able to get out and hobble into the shop to get my hair cut yesterday afternoon. I hadn’t been in for 8-10 weeks so I was looking a tad shabby. Julia made me look closer to human which makes me feel closer to human. Now my shower is done and it’s coffee time. Good to the last dregs.

Her Grace has an AP Computer Science test at noon and doesn't have to be at school until 11:45. This means we all got to sleep in for a while—me until 8:15. Making breakfast for us now.
And it's gray and rainy, high temps of 62° today. I have some laundry to do and some song practice.
Have a good day, all.

…and it’s coffee time. Good to the last dregs. “Good to the last drop, just like it says on the can.”

Morning!
A welcome break from that string of lovely sunny days; it's cool and cloudy with a light drizzle.

Good morning. We'll have 60s-90s. A friend's coming for backyard coffee in a few minutes. I've got a lunch event and a church vestry meeting at 6:00 PM.
Have a good day.

A myriad of chores to take care of. A couple of problems in the trailer, some general house keeping before our next trip at the end of June Yardwork beckons, and I have to fix our broken fence gate latch. Hopeful for a bike ride and a nap, but we will see.

Good morning.
49F-73F mostly sunny. I don't think I need to go anywhere but the shop.
Shawn next door made Black Raspberry Curd and Butter Biscuits from some fruit I gave him the other day. Over the top fabulous.
The berries were frozen ones from a clients garden last year. He gets so many berries he gives them out to whomever will take them. He will give me some this year and I will pass the majority over to Shawn as the reward is worth it. I will keep some for topping ice cream and oatmeal.

One of C's university friends keeps giving us bags of frozen strawberries from last year's crop in her home garden. They have way more/more interesting flavor than the giant supermarket kind, and they have led to an increased consumption of gelato and ice cream to put under them.

I'm sure they're much better than supermarket strawberries.
Our blackberry crop usually ripens in May and it's usually huge. This year, it's late and not that large. These things are mystifying. We had a relatively wet winter which ought to be good for the crops.

Our walk is completed. Cereal and fruit are consumed. The second load of laundry is in the dryer. I'll soon be taking Mr. H to retrieve the pickup from the shop. We'll see if he mentions selling it while we're there.
Had 16 of us at our neighborhood dineout last night. The place is mostly outdoor seating, which was fine except for those unlucky enough to be facing the sun. Service was awful and there was an automatic 20% gratuity. My fish and chips were some of the best I've had. Mr. H was disappointed in his pulled pork sandwich. Took forever. We met at 5:00 and didn't get home until 8:00. Of course, the long wait was partly due to 4 people who came together and were 25 minutes late because they thought our reservations were for 5:30. Still, we had a good time.

One of the pleasures of strawberry season here is purchasing freshly picked—and ripe—pints from the Saturday green market. When they are as deep red on the inside as they are on the outside, good golly Miss Molly.

Our mulberries have already come and gone. They were delicious, but the birds got most of the pleasure.

Mulberries are often call Satan’s Berries. In the early days of the church, the Pope called them ”Purpurei bacas volucris stercore” and banned their usage as a mortal sin. Napoleon called them “ Baies de merde d'oiseau violet!” Friedrich Nietzsche called them “ Stinkende Beeren, die Vögel dazu bringen, lila zu kacken!”
All three were correct.

Guy at the shop would love to buy our truck, but currently owns 9 vehicles and fears the wrath of his wife. So next step is to clean it up, remove the ham rig, and take it to Carmax, of which there are 2 locations in Tucson. Not happening this week. Too many other things going on.

Some types you need to cut back every year, I have been told.

⭐️The Benefits of Difficult Situations⭐️* We should be especially grateful for having to deal with annoying people and difficult situations, because without them we would have nothing to work with. Without them, how could we practice? It is by dealing with such challenges that we grow and develop.
