Good morning. Today is yard work day. Oh boy!
I've been having some prostate issues, so I'll also be making an appointment with the urologist. I had prostate cancer about 15 years ago, cured by radiation so I'm not putting this off.
Have a great day folks.

Good morning. Later this morning my wife and I will be going to a place that sells excellent tamales. We'll have lunch and stock up on frozen tamales. This afternoon I have a doctor's appointment.
Ken, your comment made me wonder how many of us are alive who probably wouldn't have been fifty years ago. My grandfather died of prostate cancer when they couldn't do much for it. I've had kidney cancer that probably wouldn't have been detected fifty years ago, let alone cured. Modern medicine has made amazing strides.
Be of good cheer, folks.

Good morning. Interesting news from Iran, I find it interesting that they were flying in that old helicopter. Bell 206? From when the shaw was in power. 1978/79 was when he was loosing power or gone.
In 1976 I used to see the helo that was supposedly carrying the Shaw, there were always 4,5,6 helicopters traveling together, so you couldn't tell which one was actually carrying the Shaw.
Saw them at Khatami air base in 78.

My paternal grandfather also died from prostate cancer, my father also had it but it was not what ended his life. Runs in the family.

Nothing much going on here today, aside from researching a TPMS system for the Airstream that will talk to my truck. The trailer needs new tires, which is kind of a pain because I need to find a place that has a big enough parking lot to pull iin and exit with a 27 ft trailer in tow, and let them know you can’t just Jack up the trailer anywhere, there are specific reinforced Jack points under the trailer. But it’s a nice sunny day and I’m retired.
Annie at the Keller was fantastic yesterday. The entire ensemble was excellent.

It rained all night here sometimes an absolute downpour. I haven't checked the gauge yet. The wind picked up twice so much I started to suspect another derecho.

A bit of office work, then a short dog walk. My physical therapist D-I-L says the best thing for my low-back pain is "motion-lotion."

Well shortly after taking my meds my system decided it didn't like something. So I went back to bed after a quick breakfast and am now just getting started for the day. I filled my meds holders this morning so I'll look to see which med that should be taken in the evening is in the morning box. I think I know which one it was so I won't have the problem tomorrow.

We saw Willie Nelson in concert this past weekend. It was a night to remember. I had been looking forward to that concert for months and it was everything I had hoped it would be. The moment Willie walked on stage the crowd erupted and stood and applauded for at least five minutes. He just stood there on the stage taking it in and I stood there with tears streaming down my face.
I snapped a few pics and then put my phone away. I wanted to focus on the music and savor every moment. He completed his set (about 90 mins) with "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." Again, I stood there clapping and singing along and crying simultaneously.
When he put his guitar down, he waved to the crowd. I pulled my phone out and took a video of him waving to the crowd and walking off of the stage. I have watched that video several times now. It's very bittersweet.
I have loved that man's music since I was a little girl. I would listen to his records with my mother. Saturday night brought up all of those lovely wonderful memories.
Truly, a night to remember.

Ken, "My paternal grandfather also died from prostate cancer, my father also had it but it was not what ended his life. Runs in the family" --------- a great song by The Roches youtu.be/MR8emKSZe48?si=Vf-fwqdsdNbt5UCDThe first verse....excerpt "I can't get over what I saw. And I can't change the law of averages. I'm going down. My uncle did it; my daddy did it. I'm beginning to think that it runs in the family Oh no, runs in the family."

Dang. I played pickleball this morning. The issue is now whenever I do that, I come home, eat lunch and zonk out for an hour or two nap. Kinda takes up most of the day.

Mike There's a video on Youtube about some fols who got new tires for their Airstream from Discount Tires. Even after explaining about the jack points, the shop placed their jack under the freshwater tank. Discount Tires covered the repair, but only because the customer had pictures of the old flat tire with unbroken water tank behind it.

Got my second raised garden bed completed and filled. I filled the first foot with old rotting logs and branches and the last foot with Menards Master potting soil with a topping of compost. Later I saw an authority on YouTube that had written a few books that didn’t like logs and branches and recommended filling the whole thing with dirt. Further searching revealed other “authorities” that thought rotting logs and branches were great. Epaul? ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53734326307_5dca7a4f60_z.jpg)

Isn't epaul and compost redundant?
