Good morning.
The show of Paul McCartney's photographs from about 1963 to 1965 encompassed their trips to Paris, New York, Washington, DC, and Miami, and the people and places they encountered, including many photos of the lads themselves. It was extensive, fascinating, and included a video of them on the Ed Sullivan Show, two huge murals of fans waiting to greet them in New York, Washington, and Miami, and photos that Sir Paul took of the reporters and photographers who were engaging with the Beatles. I was not able to find my father in any of those images. The experience brought back a flood of memories, and I think I need to screen "A Hard Day's Night" soon.
Have a great day, folks.

Today, I'll be traveling to to Little Falls, Minnesota, the city of my birth. I'll be attending my cousin's funeral.
I'll go up 35, Through Mpls, to 494, then up 94, crossing to 10 at Clear Lake. Lunch at Nelson Brothers.
My Maps shows I94, north bound lanes closed between Rogers and Monticello. Not sure what is going on there.

Good morning. We're having fairly mild weather for late May. It'll get hot next week so I'll enjoy this while I can.
Today I'll attend my Zoom social event and then buy groceries. Enjoy your day.

It's Minnesota and we have 4 seasons, Winter, Spring, Autumn and Road Repair. 94 is all torn up through the cities. Look at going 694 north to 10 not 494 as that will take you a long way south.

Good morning. 53F-78F mostly cloudy. Putting a pickup in for Glenn today while he waits and hoping Terry will be here also. Then off to lunch at Casa Azul Agave, great place. I know I'm always taking about my cats, can't help it they're my boyz. Last night at bedtime neither would come in. I expect that from Simon but Riley likes his comfort so sleeping indoors at night is fine with him. Well DaWife put her head out the door and called them, they were both on the front step. They totally ignored her, not a notice, Go Away Lady You're Bothering Us, so she had me call them which got immediate action and they came in. DaWife was like WTF is with them tonight? I just told her You don't feed them.

Good morning from stormy-looking Salem, MA. We're in an absolutely lovely AirBNB. After yesterday's marathon drive from IN to MA* we decided sleeping in would be a good idea. Nothing on today's itinerary except for checking out some of the local sites. Scratch that; without specific sites in mind, we are seeing the local sights. Tomorrow is a whale cruise, where hopefully we will see some whales. And hopefully I will locate some motion-sickness treatments before we leave.
*Only pulled over once, and the MSP officer was very polite. Note to folks driving in MA; stay out of the left lane except to pass! Thankfully I only received a warning, but I was happy to see the law being enforced. Also, MSP thinks my IN plate's expired; thankfully a more rigorous investigation showed I'm current.

Good morning, all.
Had a brief appointment with my optometrist before work to check on my glaucoma. I recently had laser procedures to reduce pressure, and it appears they were successful. That's a good way to start the day.

The experience brought back a flood of memories, and I think I need to screen "A Hard Day's Night" soon. I came across the flick a few weeks ago on TCM and watched it. My main impression was how young and naive we were back then....... Anyway, good morning. Got up early and went to the Weeki Wachi Prairie Lake for some solo birding. Last time I do that until the cooler weather returns next Autumn. Brutal heat and humidity and a difficult walk on the dried out grassy lakebed, but I got some good pics, Some great egrets, glossy and white ibis, a little blue heron and a crow, a great blue heron patiently waiting for a frog or fish to reveal itself. I'll post more pics in the photo section. Claire has some honey do projects for this afternoon and I'll be making a twilight bike ride this evening. Have a great day folks.

If you take I-95 around Boston to Dedham, you’ll find the Fairbanks House, the oldest timber frame house in North America. It was built in 1637 by one of my ancestors. It’s about an hour from Salem.

from Wikipedia:
"Puritan settler Jonathan Fairbanks constructed the farm house for his wife Grace (née Smith) and their family. The house was occupied and then passed down through eight generations of the family until the early 20th century. Over several centuries the original portion was expanded as architectural styles changed and the family grew."

Just back from my physical. Other than a need to lose weight, I am fairly healthy. I was expecting worse.
A guy walks into a shrink's office naked and wrapped in Saran wrap. Guy: Doc, is there something wrong with me? Doc: Clearly I can see your nuts.
