Good morning. Today I'll have lunch with my older daughter. She's the one who's seven-months pregnant. It'll be just the two of us, which will be novel. Yesterday I visited a used-book store that's about three miles from our house. It's been there for thirty years but I'd never been there before. I found a few gems. Have a good day. I miss browsing through bookstores. Looking at what's available for Kindle just isn't the same.

Luckily we have 2 very local bookstores around here. Morgan Hill in New London. Warner Bookstore in Warner, duh.

My alma mater held its final commencement ceremony this morning. I wasn't there, and can't imagine how the mood must have been.
Other than a few more days to take care of some administrative things, Birmingham-Southern College, my alma mater, is no more.

Today was our 33rd anniversary. Time passed in the blink of an eye.
We went to dinner at a favorite place, had a wonderful meal, split some tiramisu for dessert, brought home enough leftovers for two more meals, and had great time. I am walking again, but still wearing the boot(3 more weeks) and, out of caution, pushing a walker. I don’t think I need it but I am not about to mess this up now. Stay the course and keep moving forward.

Did the gig. Went very well. Weather held so I was out on the street patio. Had 15 or more friends show up. Plus the regular bar and dinner crowd. nice night. Did 27 songs in 2 hours. The Goaa pickup thru the NUX pedal is just the best sound I’ve ever had. Just perfect for my playing. Made some decent moola.
Tomorrow off the Castle Rock Lake in WI. Friends invited us up. Should be fun.

Happy anniversary, drlj! Please say congratulations to your lovely bride for putting up with such a lovable curmudgeon for so long. Glad the gig went well, Marshall! Also glad that you're enjoying the goaa pickup. By the way, Dave Wendler has a new, or rather evolved, pickup system out there. So far as I can tell it's only been FB posts with updates. When I have a link to a product I'll let you know (or maybe you'll already know). |

Good morning. 51F-72F Rain. It's raining and a storm just pasted through. Simon is out under his bush next to the front porch with no intention of coming in where it's dry. I have a INR this morning then shop time for a while. Nice lunch with Terry and Glenn yesterday. Then we came back to my place where they watched me put some K&Ks in Glenn's Walker Wise River guitar. I showed off some of my little tricks and jigs for getting the job done right. Everyone have a good weekend, Summer is here, just ask Simon. My guitar is still played through the K&K you installed for me on my trip out to Iowa. Boy do I appreciate the functionality of that installation, Marty. |

Terry was awed by my little jig for installing K&Ks. Takes less time and is very accurate. I used to use #30 thick super glue but now they have a brush on super glue that is the cat's meow for that job. Perfect coverage and no excess squeeze out.
