There were always cool Warbirds at Osh Kosh. Just hearing them approaching the airfield was awesome. Cool planes flown by cool guys.

I saw a Spitfire MkI and a Messerschmitt Me109E (Battle of Britain models) at an air museum near London years ago. I was struck by how tiny they were compared to Allied fighters. Mostly an engine with wings without much consideration given to pilot amenities, safety, or comfort.
Must have been a real blast to be 20 years old and handed the keys to one of those hot rods.

Saw a video of someone test flying a new version of the P51 Mustang, smaller, more powerful than the original. Boy, did that look like fun.
