I'm sorry to hear this. I was always fond of her. We had some common music acquaintances outside the forum. It seems odd that it took ten years for word of her death to get here.

There's a typo in Bob's post. She died May 26, 2024, not 2014. ![](https://i.postimg.cc/c4p1rFst/FB-IMG-1717209790753.jpg)

Johnee passed away on Sunday, the 26th. Her Memorial service was today. I have had the privilege to pick and talk with her on a couple occasions. On a couple occasions she messaged when she was in my neck of the woods. We would meet and catch up and have a visit. She was the most pleasant person. This world could use a lot more “iamjohnne”s these days.
I suspect the date in the original post was a typo.

I'm sorry to hear this. Johnne and I followed each other all over the internet -- Mudcat Cafe, AG Forum, TTT, Soundhole, and Facebook. I had noticed her absence.

Sad news. We hosted a jam years ago and she attended. Stayed in the spare bedroom at my buddy Curt's house while in town. Very nice lady.

Wow. I remember her story about the Redneck Wedding very vividly. Wrote a song about it. She played it for the couple. They liked it.
Later she suggested I write a song about the couple giving birth to a baby only 6 months after the wedding. - Didn't get around to that.
