Good morning. 58F-77F cloudy. Got woken, as usual, just before dawn by a cat telling me he wants out because he can hear the birds singing. When I let them back in about 6:30 they were both soaking wet. The other day I mentioned installing tuners on a Martin 15 series. Taking off the enclosed chrome/pearl tuners and putting on a set of Golden Age open gear with a bronze finish. Dang they look good.

Good morning, everyone. The sky is getting light and the doves are calling. It's very pleasant outside.
Today's agenda is light. There are a couple of chores in the back yard to attend to. I'll smoke the chicken that brined overnight.
Enjoy your day.

Taking a helicopter tour of Milwaukee this afternoon (weather permitting). When we told our good friend about all of the experiences we enjoyed in Las Vegas, he mentioned that he too has always wanted to take a ride in a helicopter. For his birthday we decided to treat him to a helicopter ride.
Have a good day, everyone.

I wouldn’t mind those on my CEO-5, which has individual Schaller tuners. They came with pearloid buttons which I swapped for Ebony, but I do think those would look very nice on it. What thinkest thou? I always loved that guitar but never liked the tuners much.

Hazy sunlight, might rain later Recovering from a mountain bike ride yesterday. Eight miles of singletrack. The Dragon Trail runs 40 miles around two reservoirs, impoundments on the Muskegon River about an hour's drive north. I rode the easiest stretch, which was quite enough for my aging legs. Exhausted last night, not feeling too bad this morning. Yard work most of the day, workshop time if it rains.

Got Wordle in two. I'm at home right now. I got my route all ready, but my Jeep's transmission is on the fritz so I'm waiting for a gov't vehicle to become available for the day. Next week I hope to find a transmission specialist who can fix what ails it.

It's raining this morning, it'll probably quit some time.
It was good to see and hear Todd playing and singing at the open mic last night.
Snow ski club spring picnic is this afternoon, I've got a crockpot of sauerkraut and sausage brewing that I'll take. The rain should be over by then.

They will probably cover the old screw holes but if not I'll tell you how to solve that problem.

Good morning. Back from birding outing with the Audubonites at the Chinsegut Big Pine Tract. The goal was to see some summer tanagers. Walked the entire trail seeing a bunch of other species but no tanagers until we got back to the entrance and there, in a tree above the parking lot there were two. I got my camera ready and spotted a reddish orange patch in the tree that turned out to be something I can't identify. However right below it, I didn't notice it at the time, there was a tanager, so I got a photo albeit not a very good one..... I'll post more pictures later today on photography board for those who are interested. Have a great day folks!

I see they are quoting a scientific journal Web site so it must be true. It never occurred to me to judge a brewery by its taproom. But, hey, it’s on a Web site so…

Treated myself to brunch this morning at Holman's Table, hard by the runways of St. Paul Downtown Airport, which were pretty quiet -- one Piper putt-putter and one bizjet takeoff, is all. But the skies were blue, the winds were light, the sun was shiny and the food & drink were excellent, as always.
Totally worth the splurge, especially considering how much food I brought home. Tomorrow's breakfast is 80% in hand.

The Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund UEFA Champions League final just kicked off. I am feebly cheering for Dortmund, the (sort of) plucky underdogs. Here's some handy beauty tips for any scruffy beatniks that need some grooming. You're welcome. *From Wonkette's Sara Benincasa - www.wonkette.com/p/a-whole-day-for-learning-about-skincare

On the way home. If I can figure it out on my phone, I will post a picture of puffins from yesterday.

That kind of looks like an ultrasound of a Puffin with triplets.
