I think it's a scam, Marshall. Look at the website name— feomashakmusic.life
Click through and tell me you found the same "pop-up" sale. I can't.
My guess is that it's based in China. There was a Thursday Boot Company "one-day sale" that popped up on Instagram two weeks ago, based in China. Similar MO, using the company logos and photos from the website that are easy to pirate. Those people have no scruples. At least we have a few in this country.
PLUS: it's a totally bogus website. I just clicked on "Contact Us"at the bottom of the page and it directs you to an email address at some bike repair shop.
I just sent a note to Sam Ash headquarters advising them of this bogus website.
As I was typing the above, the email I am posting below just arrived from Sam Ash:

I have gotten those fake Sam Ash ads popping up on Facebook. Les Pauls, D28s and Taylor 800 series guitars, all at $129. Had to be a scam. The actual Sam Ash site has this warning: Notice: BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT WEBSITES WWW.SAMASH.COM Is Sam Ash Music’s Only Website. We only sell through our official website, our stores, our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/SamAshMusicStores and Reverb.com All Websites Claiming to be related to Sam Ash other than www.samash.com are Fraudulent. Most are operated outside the US and will take your money but are unable to fulfill your order. We are not responsible for orders placed on them.

Yeah, I was all set to buy Wendy a $6k French horn and me a $10k Yamaha GC70 guitar. For $199 each.
Wait, everything is $199 regardless. Um. No

Yeah, I was all set to buy Wendy a $6k French horn and me a $10k Yamaha GC70 guitar. The local classical station yesterday told the story about how years ago, flutist James Galway got hit and seriously injured by a motorcycle while on foot. He noted that it was a 650 Yamaha, and has vowed to never play a Yamaha flute again.

Sounds like a scam to me.

Oh yeah? Well, I just bought Peter Green’s 59 Les Paul from them for $129.00. When it gets here I’m selling it for big bucks. Who’s crazy now?

I got 5 D-45s @ $129.00 each. I know it’s legit because my credit card has already been charged. They couldn’t do that if they were not legit.

The sad thing is that they will make a lot of "sales" and rake in a lot of money.

Another sad thing is how close I was to buying a couple guitars before I got smart and checked out the real site.

Sure, if you want to ship it to Wang Chung Province.

Now you guys got me worried. So I called the customer service number and spoke with the vice president of the operation, Mr Hang Mei Low. His English wasn’t too good but he admitted they lose money on every sale. But they make it up on volume.

Another sad thing is how close I was to buying a couple guitars before I got smart and checked out the real site. That Murphy Labs J45 for $129 really had me going for a bit. The thing is, this was a pop-up on facebook. Don't these people check anything out? Can you sue Mark Zuckermuck if you are scammed off his site?

No and no. Do you have the resources to go up against Meta in a lawsuit?

Another sad thing is how close I was to buying a couple guitars before I got smart and checked out the real site. Don't feel bad, John. My son really wants a Les Paul and the first guitar on the scam ad was a $129 Les Paul. My heart skipped a beat before my brain kicked in.

I got taken once by a supposed L. L. Bean ad on Facebook. The graphics matched Bean's. The prices were very good but not so low as to arouse my suspicions. So I ordered several items. Chase Bank subsequently investigated the scam. The bank refunded my money without my asking them to. Somehow I learned the scammers were in Singapore. Now I'm wary of all bargains advertised on Facebook.

One thing I have learned, from my skeptical father, as well as from practical experience: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Caveat emptor.

Just I played one of these last week at Haggerty’s Music in Rapid City South Dakota. It was an absolute beast. 6.2K.
