Good morning. I'll have coffee with a friend this morning and a lunch meeting after that. That would have been a light day when I was working but now it's as much as I want in one day.
It's 74 in our back yard. The airport reports 84. Microclimate matters.
Have a good one.

Good morning. Rain overnight, supposed to get rain on and off for the next few days. The summer weather pattern is back and as we were really hurting for some rain it's a good thing. Not so much for my bike riding routine which I'll have to adjust to work around the weather. Sounds like not much to complain about but.........
Have a great day folks.

Good morning. Just finishing breakfast, last few sips of coffee. I have been listening to a collection of Willie Nelson recordings from the 1960s. There are some members here who are not too fond of his music, but I happen to be. I like old stuff. Anyway. I like Willie Nelson's music. Besides, in those days Willie cleaned up good.
No hard, fast plans today. I like it. Good day to all.

A rabbit in the mountain preserve. It looks alert. You need to be alert when everything views you as dinner.

Good morning.
59F-85F cloudy.
It may rain in a little while for a little while then settle down to a decent day. Retirement party this evening at Joseph's Bar & Grill, a place we frequented when Cheri had to work in the US Bank building nearby. Once she started working from home we stopped going there. Snow crab dinner with the girls last night. Kaiah had never had snow crab, no problem she was all grins. It was fun teaching the girls how to get to all the meat with just your bare hands. The claw is really the only part you need a cracker for on a snow crab.

Willie's newer & brand new stuff ain't bad either. Worth checking out...IMHO. Listening to "The Border" as I write this. First track on his latest CD released only a few weeks ago. Nice guitar work and a beautiful accordion humming at times in the background. I play this one over and over.

Well, I just tested and so far…I’m good. So the plan for the day is to avoid typhoid Nita and do some yard work, lawn mowing, try to fix our in groundsprinkler system with a new solenoid, and, depending how that goes, maybe sneak in a bike ride.

I'm just back from a morning bike ride, it was great, except for the gnats.
Gig last night went great, there was enough of a breeze to keep the gnats at bay, and they fed us when we finished playing.
Gotta go get some groceries sometime today.

I wonder what 60s Willy would say if he bumped into 2024 Willy.

My satellite radio is tuned to Willie's Roadhouse 90% of the time. Nancy makes* me change stations or mute it for Buck Owens or Tammy Wynette. She's actually come to like quite a bit of what is on the station. * Makes as in strongly requests. Small sacrifice to make her happy. And not much of the music of those two thrills me.

Good morning, all.
Not much new here. Hot summer weather is coming in, but I kind of like it. Have to avoid sunburn, though; this spot on the top of my head is vulnerable.

A beautifully mild weather week predicted with highs ranging from 64 to 75. The clover in my lawn has blossomed. I have let the Mason and honey bees have at it for a few days but I will probably cut it this afternoon.
I will work a short motorcycle ride in today, along with a trip to the bark park, and maybe install the "Ring" doorbell camera.

Morning.
Sunny day. Tomatoes are the size of baseballs. I will post when ripe, as this year looks to be very special (as in earliness, size, and production). My loins are a-tingle! And my pole beans are up and looking good. More tingling. And my lilies... tingle, tingle!

Had a good wine bar job last night. Everyone played and sang well. Monday the Kennedy Guitars golf team did well in the United Way Golf Classic at 10 under (scramble) unfortunately 16 under won but we were in the top ten. I brought my kid Mike in from Chicago. He’s a low handicap player and from tee to within 10 yds of the green we used his shots 90% of the time. . I did make two long birdie putts.

They are part of the Blue Jays system. I also enjoy watching my grandkid play.

Hot today. Went out dishwasher shopping after a breakfast at the Honey Bee Cafe. Great breakfast & lunch place that is family owned. Anyway, our old dishwasher died so we bought a new Bosch FancySchmancy model. It does everything but clear the dishes from the table and only cost 11teenmilliondollars. Delivered & installed on the 20th. Old dead one to be hauled away and dumped by the roadside in Arlington Heights, IL that same day. It will be near a mulberry tree. Nap time for bonzo.

Just back from Cheri's retirement party given by her coworkers. Two more days and she is free.
