Some friends are selling their house. Downsizing. It’s a nice 12 yo house on a golf course. They listed it at $900k. They had 2 offers. And the ultimate buyers are a 40 something couple with a family. . . , and they offered to pay cash for the house. Their offer has been accepted.
I wonder what denomination the bills will be in?
Just kidding. I’m sure it’ll be some kind of bank transfer. But it boggles my mind that this couple had that kind of cash. He is the son of a neighbor of somebody else we know.
As I repeatedly tell my wife, “The world has passed us by.”

Ok. What gets me is the young buyers aren’t financing the purchase. They actually can pony up that kind of moola.

Y'know, a million ain't what it used to be. (And $900K is only 90% of that.)
