Good morning. Up early to head out to the Chassahowitzka WMA to do some mountain biking with the Swamp Mountain Bike Club folks. Going to try for 30 miles again, if the weather holds. Big storm supposed to hit this afternoon. After that I'll lounge around the house, watch some US Open golf and mess around with the guitars. Have a great day folks.

I am up. It’s quiet and the aroma of coffee fills the air. So far, so good.

Good morning. It'll be a day with a long list of short to-dos. None of it should be unpleasant.
Keep on the sunny side. That's easy in the desert in June.

It's a Beautiful, cool, peaceful morning at the cabin. I really enjoyed yesterday, took a long boat ride, with a stop to visit old friends at their cabin. Pizza last evening and an old friend showed up, his daughter and SIL brought him, he's pretty much blind. We had a good visit talking about things that only good, old friends can talk about. Time flew by, I was at the Pizza Place 2 1/2 hours.
Had a campfire later and at 10 PM got a text from another old friend. We texted for a half hour.
Oh, in the afternoon, I walked out of the cabin, barefoot, and almost stepped on a big snake. It was about 6 feet long. Hognose or rat, or water snake, I'm not sure. Eventually it crawled under the porch. Mice and chipmunks watch out!

Good morning.
62F-72F cloudy.
Cheri's party went well. Food was not quite as good as I would expect from the Little Oven but that may be my fault. I ordered the standard fare of pork and chicken and not any Italian choices which the place is known for. Never the less a good time was had by all and Cheri was thrilled to see 4 of her grandkids all at once.
Busy morning as I have to get moving so we can go get her rental car before I have to open the shop this morning. She'll take that north so I won't be stranded home with no wheels.

I wordled in 4 ("par", right cornflake? ). I actually ran two miles this morning. I'd been wondering if I could still do that. I thought it was supposed to be hot today, but it's been incredibly comfortable for the past three days now. I saw this on my friend, Bill's, facebook page. I didn't fact check it. Who cares?

Sunny morning, light breeze.
Recovering from a bike ride yesterday, Only 15 miles on smooth pavement, but it just about did me in. Raising a coffee cup in a toast to Ken doing 30 miles of singletrack.
Back from the farmers market. Staying out of the kitchen whilst Dawn makes strawberry jam. Headed down to the workshop.

Sorry to miss Cheri’s party but Pat has been having vertigo problems and I couldn’t leave her alone. A big congratulations to Cheri!
Got the boat in yesterday. The marine dealer where I store it changed hands and in the process they sold my trailer! It’s somewhere in Canada. At least they didn’t sell the pontoon. I am negotiating a compensation package.
Yard and shop work today. Looks like rain later.
Always drooled over an early Cobra. I thought the AC Bristol was the best looking of any British sports car

We got up early to get the dog's walked before the heat sets in.
Nothing special planned for today. Probably some pool time.

Back from Trader Joe's for a fast pickup of a week's worth of provisions in advance of a stormy weekend. The Shoreview location is really well staffed -- I can get in and out of there in 10 to 15 mins.
CheriFest was fun, the guest of honor was in a fine mood, and I enjoyed meeting Marty's next-door neighbors and chatting about foodie stuff.
Like Mr. Larsson, I'll be watching the U.S. Open for at least part of the day.
Glad that I woke up and all the weird dreams I was having were not real. Other than that, I got nuttin.

It’s amazing how not wearing that big, clunky boot has made me feel a bit less sure of myself in walking. The boot, I guess, provided some feeling of security and now I am walking without the safety net. I suppose this is normal and I will get to be more at ease over time.

LJ, you could carry the boot with you, similar to Linus and his blanket. I did something similar with Casper and it worked out great (he still grabs that duck every time it thunders).

Morning!
A nice, overnight rain (.6"). Checked my greenhouse, and a tomato is showing signs of turning (going out on late night walks, edgy and nervous, some recent large purchases considering its income). I'll keep an eye on it.

Some coffee and morning guitar playing. I still have that "Ring" doorbell/camera to install. Maybe my techy son will want to do that for me on Father's Day!

Wow, the world's No. 1 player is 11 strokes behind a 24-year-old Swede who's playing in his second-ever Major tourney and his first-ever U.S. Open.
Get used to the name Ludwig Aberg (pronounced Oh-berg).

Get used to the name Ludwig Aberg (pronounced Oh-berg). That's my grandmother's maiden name - Aberg/Oberg. Pronounced Oberg, but has been spelled both ways. You wouldn't know it to look at me that I'm 1/4 Swedish.

I see that Ludwig the golfer has a little ring over the first letter in Åberg. Apparently a different letter than the ringless A.
