Good morning, all.
I am in beautiful Kiawah Island, SC for a week of medical education meetings. I have classes until 12:15 every day, and my afternoons are free to enjoy with Kathy on the island. Should be a nice break from the office.

Good morning. It's monsoonish here with 50 percent humidity and overcast. We need for the monsoon rains to kick in.
Every two years the cardiologist gives me a battery of tests. This afternoon will be devoted to that. It isn't fun but it needs doing.

Good morning, 58 degrees here to start the day. 58 degrees makes hot coffee extra good.
It was a great weekend with the family, at the cabin. We had a get together on Saturday, about a dozen parents/grandparents, and, I believe 13 college kids. Just watching the "kids" wore me out.
Outside chores today.

Good morning. I hope everyone is well.
We had a vicious thunderstorm yesterday in the late afternoon and rain late at night. My son came back from his weekend in the Hamptons to pick up his dog, with whom he walked the 3.1 miles from here to his place. Of course, they got caught in the rain on the way home. He texted me and rejoiced in the fact that, "now I don't have to give Lily a bath."
It is currently 71° in Brooklyn, with low humidity and sunshine. This is good. My Huss and Dalton TD-M could use a fresh set of strings; that could happen later this afternoon. First, a Shiva call (to pay respects during the week-long period of mourning after a funeral) to long-time family friends whose mom died Friday morning, age 94. I think I may have mentioned yesterday or Saturday that we have been friends with this family since I was about 4 years old. That's history. I plan to find a photo of our two moms at the beach that was taken in the early 1960s, somewhere in my files, and give it to the surviving offspring.

Good morning. 56F-76F cloudy. Munching on fresh banana bread and washing it down with fresh coffee. Going to the Radtke's for the 4th and found the wine we want to take. Wollersheim Prairie Fume made in WS. So it's off to the Wine Shop and a few other errands before nap time. Picked up a Yamaha FG-75 the other day. Great little guitar from the 70s. Steel string but fits in a classical guitar case. I'll reset the neck and it will be great sounding, playing, smaller guitar with a nice slim neck.  |

There is actually much more here: miles of bike paths through marshes and wetlands, lots of great wildlife for photography, and beautiful beaches. I've been here many times and never struck a golf ball. |

A cool and cloudy day in store (no rain, just clouds). 68 at 10:30. Expected high of 74.
In a shocking development, I bought a new instrument, and it wasn't a trombone. My little parlor is currently getting "plek'd" by the fine folks at Sweetwater. Should be in my hands in ten days or so.

I figured out that the reason I appeared to not be getting particularly good gas mileage in my newa mail truck is because it has a twelve gallon tank.
