PT this morning. How unusual! It rained last night. I slept last night. The rain has stopped and I am awake. Coincidence?? I think not. Coffee is calling.

"What are you retired guys doing up so early?"
When you have a long day of lazing around ahead, it's best to get an early start.

I'm awake at 5:30 EST every morning. I just try not to get out of bed until 8:00 during the summer months. During the school year I am up and at it at 6:00 or 6:15 to make sure Her Grace gets out to school with some food in her.
Today: laundry, a couple of quick errands, reading, guitar. Building up my strength to start working on my father's photo archive in September.
I hope everyone has a good day. Hang in there, drlj

Good morning. 62F-84F sunny.
Nothing to do today that must be done. So I will probably just go putter around the shop until nap time.

Morning!
I'm holding up my end of the Bell Curve (counter-balancing Don, who keeps trying to skew the results!). Up daisy fresh at 8:30. Never before 8; hardly never after 9. 8:15-8:30 is the sweet spot.

What are you retired guys doing up so early? I don't know about anyone else, but I mowed the lawn. It's going to rain this afternoon, so I thought I'd beat the rain and afternoon heat. Good morning. I've got some shopping to do and then I'll go to ground. Have a great day folks.

Back home from a 26 mile bike ride.
You've heard the old adage "corn should be knee high by the 4th of July", well, there is a field along the bike trail, where the corn is 6-7 feet tall and it's already tasseled.
It's just under a mile north of Alice Rd, just before West Otter Creek, west side of the CVNT, if Bill wants to verify.

I went back to bed as 7am was too early. It's now 11:30 and I'll mosey my way down to the shop.

Back from PT and I don’t feel like someone hit me with a bus. This must be what progress feels like. Maybe.

"Triple-Digit Heat Will Smash Records In The West
"July 3, 2024
"A ridge of high pressure takes hold of the West into early next week, sending temperatures soaring to dangerous levels. Many new daily records are expected to be set." -- The Weather Channel
Yuck.

Casper and I did a much more reasonable 1.7 mile walk (I use Google Walks to trace my path once home). Usually, we do evening walks, but not during Fireworks Season. First big bang, he makes a sharp turn for home.
"THATS'S IT. WE'RE OUT OF HERE! HOME! NOW!

Home from shopping for some new (smaller!) pants. You won't have any trouble recognizing me, but there's less of me than there was last IJam. Old knee must have been heavy.
