Good morning. It looks as if our heat wave will end this coming weekend. It'll still be hot, of course, but I can handle ordinary heat.
I have doubts about my new starting word in Wordle. Both yesterday and today, my old one would have gotten me to the answer faster.

Morning Don. Going to be hot here also. 104 for the PNW is considered brutal. We are lucky, with whole house AC. When I first moved here, and was living with Anita before we got married, we bought a house without AC. She almost immediately added AC to the house, and I gave her a hard time because I figured we would use it maybe 2-4 days a year. Well, the climate has changed and it’s a lot hotter now.
Watching the tour. The architecture in all these old French towns is amazing.

Good morning
63F-84F sunny.
Right down to the shop this morning and I have plenty of things to do.
Tonight the girls want to take me to see the new Minions movie after dinner at Outback Steakhouse, ehh. The trumped up Aussie theme doesn't do a thing for me. I'm sure they have plenty of beef in Australia but sheep are what they are known for and there AIN'T no lamb on the menu. I would have preferred Olive Garden right across the street.

Coffee is brewing, after a near panic attack this morning. When I first went to make coffee this morning, I discovered that I had no coffee filters. I had checked the cupboard a couple days ago, knowing I was getting low. I thought I saw coffee filters, but it was actually the paper cups used in baking cupcakes.
I know there are work arounds, but Dollar General opens at 8:00. All is well now.
Music practice this afternoon.

It's a horrible feeling. A paper towel can serve as an emergency filter until help can arrive.

My wife is a tea drinker and we have the tea-infusion version of one of these. I make morning coffee with an espresso machine, and we keep a Melita cone + filters for when we need to make more than a couple of cups at a time, but that happens infrequently.

Morning. Wordle in 3.
Hot temps in the high 90s on tap for the week. Several years ago as a global warming hedge I had passive attic vents put in both of the gable ends of the roof, and some more blow in insulation put in the attic crawlspace. Also installed a 3 ton mini split at the same time which can heat or cool at 3 registers in the house. Gotta admit the full house AC has been pretty nice. Those mini splits are a miracle marvel.

Partly sunny and quite muggy.
Forcing myself to do some desk work before rearranging the garage to get floor space for other projects.
New dishwasher will be installed tomorrow. How we have suffered -- three whole days without a dishwasher. And don't underestimate the pain of dishpan hands.

I keep a metal mesh filter on hand for such emergency's. Paper filters make a smoother cup of coffee but the metal filter will do in a pinch. |

Going to son's house today to babysit grandson. They called us last night to let us know that the baby that they expect in January will be a girl.

I hardly see a difference between the two. I like em both, but would never nominate them for a culinary award. They rule the mediocre awards. And their saltiness gives me an excuse to go against my less beer attempts. I’d gladly eat at either tonight. |

The Liberty is now at the junkyard. The Wrangler is repaired and back to its owner.
