Good morning. Yesterday's violence was disheartening but life goes on.
Various family members will assemble to celebrate my son's birthday. Maybe we'll celebrate Bastille Day while we're at it. Then my wife and I will do some packing for our vacation.
Have a good day.

Good morning. Coffee awaits. I have an outdoor event to attend later, on the hottest predicted day of the week (93Β° and humid). I may abbreviate the amount of time I spend there.
Ah. New York in summer...

Close to 3 inches of rain overnight. We have a graduation thingamabob to go to this afternoon when it will be 95, humid, and probably raining. Perfect day for being in a backyard tent. Well, I can use my surgery as an excuse to get out of there early. Hang loose.

Eric stops by today to practice for next Thursday's gig.
Hot today...like always. Maybe some pool time later.

Good morning. Supposed to rain later today. Things continue to improve after my cytoplasty on Friday. I'll be watching Wimbledon this morning and the Euro soccer championship this afternoon. Somewhere in there I'll try to squeeze in a bike ride. Have a most excellent Sunday dudes and dudettes.

Another hot and muggy day ahead.
Bike ride yesterday turned out to be 20 miles, finishing in heat with a headwind. Feeling alright this morning, might take a short ride later on to loosen up stiff muscles.
Off to church and a congregational meeting in a 120-year old non-air conditioned sanctuary. Workshop time later in a slightly cooler basement.

Our church doesn't have a regular choir but occasionally does a "pop-up" choir where anyone interested shows up an hour before service and practices to do a song that morning.
That's where I am now. We have finished rehearsal and waiting for the service to start.
(They didn't throw me out.)

Add "Walk Right Back" to "It Won't Matter Anymore" and "Summertime Blues" -- songs I find very difficult to impossible to play and sing at the same time.
It was lightly raining as I walked the dog this morning. Not an unpleasant feeling.

That must be because you refrained from performing "I Hope You Die."

They are ignorant of that unless they have stumbled upon it on YouTube.

Good afternoon.
67F-89F cloudy.
Thunderstorm overnight knocked out our power and it didn't come back on until about 1:00 this afternoon. I got up about 2:00 just after the storm to open windows to let cool air in, subbed the crap out out of my toes on a chair. We did go the breakfast but grocery shopping was out of the question as we didn't know if or when the power would be back on. So we went shopping for shorts for Dawife.

Off to a good, lazy start on my day. Coffee consumed, oatmeal eaten, tomatoes watered and fertilized, and guitars played with youngest son. I would take my new motorcycle out for a ride if it were 15 degrees cooler.
The new truck purchase is on hold: the private party seller financed it through Ally Bank. Ally has no physical location within 1,000 miles of us. Unless the truck is sold through an auto dealer, the only way to get clear title is to send a check or "MoneyGram" to Ally. Ally does not accept wire transfers! And Ally will only send the title to the borrower/seller, not the buyer.
The idea of paying off the seller's auto loan and having clear title go to him makes me a bit anxious, but if I have a signed bill of sale and possession of the truck, I should be okay.
If you need to finance a vehicle, I recommend against Ally.

There are a lot of trucks for sale. I would skip the hassle. Instead, I would assign a price tag to the hassle. This hassle sounds like it is worth at least $500 at a minimum and up to a couple grand at the max. I would split the difference. Assign the hassle a value of $1000 and use that $1,000 to upgrade to a nicer truck, one that comes with no hassle.

I might yet do that, but I have had him reduce the price by $1,000 because of the hassle.

Just finished dinner. I am now going to watch a film while playing guitar, something I can't do when my family is here.
Bwa-ha-haaaaah!
