We escaped the Tucson heat by spending 3 days in Reykjavik followed by a cruise around Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Three flights to get home last night and a 7 hour time difference. I am not in any condition to do anything important or complicated today. I managed to drive us from the airport without incident, arriving about 10 PM. We did minimal unpacking and getting the house up and running before showering and falling into bed. Had a great time, but I'm convinced that we're too old for more trips like this. Plus, damn, navigating the airports in Chicago and Denver was not fun. Mr. H was constantly asking me where we were supposed to be. His deteriorating vision doesn't allow him to read a lot of the signage. Not even feeling like going for groceries and it's quite a bit hotter than Iceland here. So we'll have something from the freezer with canned veggies tonight. I'm heading there (Iceland, not Tucson  ) in 2 weeks. |
