I wish I had taken a picture of it, but somewhere south (Oklahoma, maybe?) on our road trip, there was a large Naxolone vending machine in a truckstop along the interstate, in an area with a lot of bikers. In the short time we went in to use the restroom and pick up some snacks, we saw several people look closely at it, do a double-take, and nod and smile.

I wish I had taken a picture of it, but somewhere south (Oklahoma, maybe?) on our road trip, there was a large Naxolone vending machine in a truckstop along the interstate, in an area with a lot of bikers. In the short time we went in to use the restroom and pick up some snacks, we saw several people look closely at it, do a double-take, and nod and smile. In looking for information about AEDs and Naxolone, I learned that they are storing Naxolone in many public AED machines to aid in opioid overdose. I wonder if opioids are a problem in that rural area about an hour east of Alexandria. |
