One of the best concerts I ever attended was in the late 70s when Pat played the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee. I had a front-row seat, and he jogged out playing a Guild F-50R, JUST LIKE MINE!

I have two Paracho made classical guitars with a 678mm scale that I've been thinking of turning into baritones. As soon as I get the neck angle corrected.
This is easy if you just buy a 7 string classical set and throw away the first string. To get octave higher strings for the 3rd and 4th strings you would need low tension E and G strings. The E used as a octave D and the G used as a octave A. Intonation might be a problem on the 4th string but I do have some wound B 2nd strings that may do the job. But that has a problem because wound classical B strings tend to break quite easily.
Another thing to ponder.
