Good morning. It'll be something like 87-105 here.
This morning the church service will have a Christmas in July theme. There will be carols. Everyone is encouraged to wear Christmas-y clothing. This idea holds no appeal for me whatsoever. I'll skip it and go to the botanical garden. One Christmas season per year is more than enough. After that I need to put a big chuck roast in the smoker for dinner.
All's well. Have an enjoyable day.

The dog has been walked. I'm enjoying coffee and donuts. I got wordle in three. I cut the back yard last night. Today I'll finish the yard and wash all the windows of the mail Toyota.

Expected high of only 100F and a 50% chance of rain later. My kind of monsoon weather.
Yesterday afternoon we went to a memorial for a neighbor who passed away while we were on our Iceland trip. She was 89 and hadn't been doing well for over a year, so not a surprise. Met some of her family and socialized with the still living neighbors. It was at the clubhouse, so we walked there. After having snacks there, we just had more snacks and a glass of wine for dinner. Now I feel the need for an omelet, which will wait until after we do our walk.
Today is the last Sunday for our church's summer schedule of one service at 9:30 AM. Looking forward to next Sunday when we will attend the second service in person.

Good morning.
71F-89F sunny.
Another warm day and we shall follow our usual Sunday routine. It's nice and cool in the shop so I will spend time down there today.

I woke up this morning in a foul mood, it started Friday and I hadn't been able to shake it. It was misting out at 8:00 AM this morning when I decided that perhaps a 26 mile bike ride, in the rain, would cool me off.
Well, the rain stopped and 19 miles into the 26 mile ride, a light came on. I knew then what had been bothering me and I was able to successfully deal with it.
I may have to apologize to the gal who said the wrong thing to me yesterday and when I unloaded on her, she left crying.
I'm home now, life is good.

Cleaning the front-side rain gutters. It had been a few years. We have some off-brand version of Gutter Helmet which made me complacent, until rain water no longer flowed through the drain pipe. We have a pine tree, so needles are probably clogging it. It turns out our gutters are a major.. by my standards anyway.. ant nest. So I'm standing on our tallest stepladder, unscrewing the lids, wielding a shop-vac hose. I'm actually learning to tolerate the sensation of many ants moving over my body. I think beer would help, but I'm balancing on a ladder using tools.. later. This is the unpleasantest task I've attempted in awhile.

Good morning from MI. Actually now it's afternoon. All the family around gets together in about an hour. I spent the day so far tracking down houses my parents used to live in.
On edit: and 225 Parsons St, where there best Gibsons were built.

The guy leading the 3M Open just hit a shot that wound up landing in the crook of a police officer's arm. Never hit the ground.

Does he have to play it off the police officer's arm?
"Just hold very still, sir."

When the police officer screamed-
βyou hit me, what are you going to do about it?β
The golfer replied -
I think Iβll put my right hand a little more under the club and close my stance slightly.β
